About the Opportunity

The Supply Forecasting Manager Iberia plays an important role in the Supply Chain department, a key person in the Iberia region supporting the Forecast&Planning team. Ensuring and providing the information on the volumes expected weekly by berry, grower, variety and treatment with a short and mid-term scope (0-52 weeks). With this data, the business will be enabled to make the best business decisions to support our strategy according to Driscoll’s Mission and Vision, using Driscoll’s values.
This role is within an office and field environment with travels to grower sites and needs the ability to work in an agricultural setting and understand field and crop conditions.

 Responsibilities

Forecasting and Planning:

Accountable for developing and managing a robust berry supply forecasting process for Iberia, focusing mainly on the short & mid term horizon, based on a deep understanding of berry growing practices and agricultural cycles. Support on long term horizon with curves and yields.

Set up planning for the regular grower visits and forecast update on weekly basis for the region.

Analyze historical data, weather patterns, and market trends to predict future supply volumes.

Lead one berry and was responsible for all the information related to the berry, making the bridge between regions information and represents in Berry go to market teams.

Incorporate seasonal variations into the forecasting process; Utilizes in-depth understanding of berry production principles to lead cross-functional teams in the development and improvement of forecasting processes and tools

Monitor forecast accuracy and through root cause analysis ensure continuous improvement on the forecast process and numbers.

Update the reference database of the productive area of ​​the current season. Make sure Planning model is updated following business goals by grower (Anaplan).

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Build and maintain strong relationships with berry growers and suppliers, and understanding the dynamics and impact of key stakeholders in a berry supply chain and business to our Driscoll’s setup

Coordinate with growers to understand crop yields, harvest schedules, and potential supply issues.

Collaborate with Driscoll’s DEMEA teams within Operations, Supply Chain and other departments, and lead the daily & weekly process alignment process, to optimize forecast numbers & accuracy and support the company’s business objectives.

Data Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

Generate regular reports on forecast performance metrics; Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.

Use data analytics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency for fresh produce.

Systems & Data:

Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Demea systems and data for Iberia

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy

    Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an agricultural focus in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred

Professional experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, forecasting, or a related field, with a focus on fresh produce.
  • Proven experience with statistical forecasting methods and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, etc.). Proven experience with IBP systems, such as SAP IBP, Oracle IBP, or similar platforms.
  • Proven experience with reporting systems such as Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Experience with ArcGis platforms (Survey 123 &Atlas)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate complex concepts to others within multinational environment
  • Strong numeracy, statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyses, interpret and manage information, data and trends
  • Knowledge and experience of project management
