(Maternity Cover) – Secondment

We have an opportunity for a supply chain project manager to the join the team on a secondment basis until the end of 2026

The Supply Chain Project Manager plays a critical role in aligning internal supply chain capability with customer expectations, acting as the central interface between the business and key airframer partners. This role ensures industrial readiness, drives governance, and proactively manages risk across complex supply chain environments.

What you will be doing:

  • Own and communicate supply chain rate and mix flexibility constraints, ensuring risks and impacts are clearly understood internally and by customers
  • Establish and manage governance frameworks and KPIs to monitor disruption, loss, and downstream impacts, supporting Supply Chain Readiness reviews
  • Lead Industrial and Quality Reviews (Airbus IQR / Boeing PRA), coordinating cross-functional inputs to ensure successful delivery and compliance
  • Manage and track operational action plans, ensuring timely closure of review actions and adherence to commitments
  • Act as the primary interface and Customer Advocate for Airbus and Boeing, representing customer priorities across internal and external supply chain networks
  • Support resolution of critical supply chain delivery risks, ensuring clear communication and alignment between internal teams and customers
  • Drive continuous improvement through structured programmes (e.g. Airbus SQIP), strengthening supply chain performance and governance
  • Maintain oversight of all supply chain change activity (e.g. footprint changes, new facilities, major modifications), identifying and mitigating associated risks
  • Lead industrial governance engagement with customer on-site and Global Field Operations teams, ensuring alignment and execution across the business
  • Provide strategic input into supply chain design and lifecycle planning to meet evolving business and customer requirements
  • Apply proactive risk and escalation management using standard tools and frameworks within Supply Chain Planning & Control
  • Support capability development through knowledge sharing, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate customer visits to key sites and suppliers as required (including occasional global travel)

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a commercially aware, operationally credible professional with strong stakeholder influence, capable of navigating ambiguity, driving accountability, and delivering against demanding customer commitments.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex programmes, projects, or improvement initiatives within supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, or procurement environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability, including leading cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer and supplier relationships within highly regulated or operationally demanding environments
  • Solid operational understanding of supply chain planning, control, and industrial processes
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks, KPIs, and structured review processes
  • Strong risk management capability, with experience using standard tools to identify, mitigate, and escalate issues
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer expectations and business priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with experience driving performance through structured methodologies
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
