Global Field Operations, Supplier Management exist to support supply chain Programs across Commercial, Defence and Global Service business units.  Global Field Operations are internationally & domestically located across the Globe. This diverse group consolidates, Program/Project/Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing expertise. GFO reps are located to support on-site short or long term supply chain Programs.

Boeing (UK) is recruiting for an intern Global Field Operation Representative to join the regional Supplier Management Team. The position based at Bristol, supporting the regional Team with supply chain performance data analytics & risk management reporting, monthly collaboration with Supplier Quality and experiential statement of work assignments assisting GFO Reps. The position will develop into managing low risk statements of work with regional partners, providing validation & insights to the health of Boeing supply chain production systems, supporting our various Programs acting as a conduit between suppliers and our Production Operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares supply chain performance data analytical reports.
  • Prepares supply chain risk management reports.
  • Develops proactive supply chain excellence predictive indicators supporting GFO colleagues with implementation & execution phases.
  • Drives a proactive culture within the supply chain production system, highlighting risk and opportunity with effective mitigation plans.
  • Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including structures, systems, PCBA, surface treatment processors, machine shop and sheet metal fabrications to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity. Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and repeatability issues) to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
  • Participates with the procurement agent & other cross functional team members in on-site supplier assessments to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.
  • Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.
  • Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent.
  • Supports work movement as requested by supervision.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Right to work in UK - We do not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
  • Studying a degree course or have graduated a degree course within last 2 years

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Fluency in English Language.
  • Must be able to travel/hold valid driving license.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • IT proficient (particularly Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Studying towards a business degree, with interest or focus on supply chain.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail.
  • Drive and enthusiasm.
  • Integrity and strong ethical values.

Relocation:

  • This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live within a commutable distance.

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a Security Clearance Process, which will require 5 years uninterrupted residency in the UK prior to applying.
