Job Purpose:

The Supply Chain Leads will play a key role in deepening the ClarusONE understanding of the generic pharmaceutical supply chain to ensure continuous supply of generics while optimising service levels across the supply chain ecosystem. This role will work cross functionally and bridges the supplier facing teams and Member Engagement in order to drive operational excellence and mitigate supply disruptions and risk that impact product availability to our Members.

The Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for route causing supply chain disruptions through member and supplier conversations and partner internally to deliver the insights that will optimise the supply chain of ClarusONE sourced products. This role combines customer-focused analytics with pharmaceutical industry knowledge to drive service excellence and maintain downstream supply chain efficiency.

This Supply Chain Lead report to the Senior Director, Member Engagement and actively partner with all ClarusONE business functions, as well as its Members and suppliers to understand the market landscape and maintain service level excellence.  

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the US generics market, focusing on supply chain dynamics across supplier, wholesaler, and retail sectors. Leverage this comprehensive knowledge to systematically monitor supply chain and service performance indicators, enabling data-driven recommendations for robust supply assurance strategies.
  • Design and implement transformational strategies to strengthen supply chain resilience and enhance service levels across the network. Including ensuring end-to-end visibility and performance tracking, designing contingency plans for supply chain disruptions and governance frameworks for sustainable improvements.
  • In collaboration with supplier facing teams drive service level improvements which includes but will not be limited to having direct conversations with manufacturers supply chain teams, attending selective Business Review Meetings, and feeding intelligence and insight into the various teams as they attend conferences.
  • Lead initiatives internally and with our Members to bring a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability to help identify items at risk of supply disruption and identify strategies for resolution. 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between Analytics, Supplier facing teams and Member Engagement to transform market insights and supply chain / service level data into actionable strategies that optimise supply chain reliability, enhance service levels, and strengthen partnerships with Suppliers and Members.
  • Develop reporting and forecasting frameworks that provide intelligence on critical categories and supplier performance, with a keen focus on anticipating potential market disruptions and market opportunities.
  • Establish customer feedback mechanisms to design and implement service level improvement initiatives within ClarusONE.
  • Develop a detailed mapping of forecasting and replenishment processes for ClarusONE members and drive initiatives for improvement of inbound service levels
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), prepare and develop routine reports and create presentations that provide in-depth analysis of sourcing performance across critical categories and suppliers.
  • Develop and analyse critical supply chain and service level KPIs, translating performance data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Utilise deep supply chain industry understanding to benchmarks & assess performance, identify areas for improvement and maintain a competitive edge for ClarusONE members.

Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or strong experience and track record of delivering results in a similar role.
  • Experience in the healthcare field, ideally in generic pharmaceuticals (purchasing, sourcing or manufacturing) preferred, though not required.
  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements using project methodology (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Prince 2)
  • Previous experience in leading and developing working groups to drive service level improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in navigating and manage change effectively within the organization.
  • Demonstrate proven track record of implementing service improvements with measurable results and positive business impact.
