Purpose of Job:
The Supply Chain Excellence Specialist will play a central role in Synthomer’s supply chain transformation initiatives, improving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, process optimization, and business partnering throughout the supply chain. This role will be responsible for leading and executing process improvement projects in support of a continuous improvement strategy. With focus on assigned areas of responsibility this role will accelerate the pace of change and the sustainability of improvement benefitting both the organization and its customers.
Main Accountabilities :
Champion Business Excellence across supply chain functions driving adoption of processes and tools to streamline service delivery and execution. Drive innovation and adoption of improvements where supply chain can improve business capabilities as a source of competitive advantage. Support Directors of Planning and Customer Experience with continuous improvement and transformational initiatives. Lead/execute process improvement initiatives in supply chain areas such as planning, inventory management, logistics, and customer service processes, utilizing hands on experience, continued education, lean methodologies, and other continuous improvement frameworks. Improve processes and lead projects to enable cost effective loading, transport, and external warehousing. In collaboration with Director of SC Excellence, identify and drive additional opportunitites for standardization, optimization, automation of supply chain processes Foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the supply chain organization Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and IT to streamline processes and ensure alignment across functions. Execute change management efforts to implement new systems, processes, and technologies across the supply chain organization Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the organization on supply chain innovation and best practice.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Additional certifications in supply chain, project management, or process improvement desireable
Experience: 5+ years in a chemicals or manufacturing company, preferably in a B2B model. Background in Supply Chain strongly preferred with experience in one or more of the following areas: supply planning, scheduling, customer service, the IBP process, project management. Ideally familiar with modern Supply Chain best practices, SAP Plan to Supply or Quote to Cash modules, and/or other planning software.
Skills: Able to understand strategy & articulate how process improvements achieve strategic objectives. Can operate effectively in complex, multisite and international environments. Balance leading improvement projects while also undertaking hands on responsibility in support of project deliverables. Learns quickly and is able to leverage experience to identify solutions. Stong communication, organizational and project management capabilities.
Travel: up to 50%, mostly within home region
