Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation Supply Chain Organization is in seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Supply Chain Director of Operations (Procurement Director). The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to customers at all levels across The Aerospace Corporation providing guidance on processes, policies, and procedures.
Work Model
This position offers a hybrid work model of 3+ days per week onsite, and remote flexibility the balance of the week, or as business needs allow.
This position and reports to the Principal Director of Supply Chain and can be located out of one of our campus locations: El Segundo CA, Chantilly VA, Crystal City DC, or Colorado Springs CO.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Leads the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Purchasing Compliance, P-Card, and Systems and Tools departments within Supply Chain
  • Ensures compliance to Contractor Procurement System Review (CPSR) requirements
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures in support of the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, including strategic buys, early planning, processing, and engagement of Supply Chain activities across the customer base
  • Implements best practices and process improvements to drive efficiencies within the Supply Chain organization
  • Provides guidance and compliance-related strategy to Supply Chain management team
  • Collaborates with Legal Department on terms and conditions development and negotiations
  • Leads the administration of the corporate P-card program including the program manual and audits


What You Need to be Successful - Procurement Director
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Law, or related field
  • 10 or more years of related experience in Supply Chain Procurement demonstrating progressive upward movement
  • Significant experience in Government and Commercial Subcontract procurement
  • Significant experience with the end-to-end Supply Chain process
  • Solid understanding and application in Supply Chain strategy and planning
  • Experience with creating Statement of Work (SoW) requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required


How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
  • Juris Doctorate degree
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP
  • Knowledge and experience with ARIBA (source to pay)
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry supporting government direct charge
  • Knowledge of requirements and regulations, including FAR/DFAR, to ensure compliance with the federal government
  • Experience with ERP implementation and deployment


We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
