Based in Chorley, our Equipment & Ancillaries team provides a truly global service, sourcing and supplying medical and laboratory equipment to meet the unique needs of each study. From single-site trials to complex, multi-country programmes, we ensure our customers have the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time, enabling them to focus on delivering successful clinical outcomes, wherever their trials take place.

How will you make an impact & Requirement

Role Mission 

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a key role in enabling the seamless flow of goods, information, and documentation across the end-to-end supply chain. You will support operational excellence by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all coordination activities. 

Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help meet customer demand through proactive communication, effective prioritisation, and strong attention to detail, contributing directly to overall supply chain performance. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the day-to-day coordination of end-to-end supply chain activities, ensuring smooth operational execution 

  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to raise purchase orders, monitor progress, and proactively expedite where required 

  • Track and follow up on open and overdue purchase orders, ensuring timely updates and resolution of potential delays 

  • Support supplier and product onboarding, ensuring all required documentation, compliance requirements, and system setups are completed accurately and on time 

  • Maintain and update ERP systems, trackers, and cost files to ensure accurate, up-to-date data for operational and strategic decision-making 

  • Assist in RFQ processes, including gathering supplier quotations, lead times, and supporting bid comparison analysis 

  • Contribute to compliance reporting across the team, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with internal standards 

  • Support cost-saving and sourcing initiatives through spend analysis, data gathering, and preparation of summary insights 

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Team Leads, helping to manage workflows across multiple regions, suppliers, or categories 

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution 

 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Supply Chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment. You bring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to efficient, data-driven supply chain operations. 

 

Essential skills and experience: 

  • Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination role 

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage, prioritise, and coordinate a high volume of tasks and activities effectively 

  • High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy in data entry, documentation, and reporting 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to work confidently with data and spreadsheets 

  • Experience working with ERP systems or similar supply chain management tools 

  • Ability to track and manage purchase orders, supplier communications, and operational updates in a structured and timely manner 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Ability to work proactively, identify potential issues, and take action to support resolution 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines 

  • A good standard of education, or equivalent relevant experience, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes 

 

Desirable (but not essential): 

  • Experience in a global or multi-regional supply chain environment 

  • Familiarity with RFQ processes, supplier onboarding, and sourcing activities 

  • Experience supporting compliance or audit-related reporting 

  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices and continuous improvement principles 

  • Exposure to cost analysis or spend reporting 

  • Experience working within regulated industries (e.g. Life Sciences, Pharma, or similar)
