In Precision Strike & Sensing Solutions, we design and manufacture state-of-the-art systems and technology that enable our customers to execute their precision strike missions.
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will be responsible for setting the strategy and executing the ramp to rate and second sourcing efforts for the Precision Guidance and Sensor Solutions (PGSS) product line, reporting to the Precision Strike Supplier Quality Manager. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of supplier quality, a strong level of business acumen, and experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment. This person will drive the implementation of advanced sourcing, supplier management, supply chain risk reduction strategies through the Supply Chain Workstream. The successful candidate will be expected to develop progressive supply chain approaches, to support the growth of the business, and to meet or exceed business area and functional goals and objectives. This position collaborates regularly with other internal senior leaders from programs, operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, contracts, and externally with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality leadership.

Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

The Role will:
- Oversee the strategy and risk mitigation of PGSS supply chain growth associated with current and future business needs, from a supplier quality perspective
- Be an engaged member of the PGSS Team, working close with the Supply Chain lead and advising the team on supplier quality aspects of supply chain execution
- Develop and execute supplier quality strategy aligned with company objectives for the product line
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to anticipate potential risks and opportunities to the business and develop strategies to mitigate risk
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the supplier quality team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
- Partner with the Category Supplier Quality team on risk mitigation and supplier development based on the needs of the program/product line
- Utilize supplier Scorecards/metrics and analytical tools to quantify performance levels of individual suppliers and work with those suppliers to develop improvement plans to achieve 100% quality performance
- Partner with supply chain to ensure proper selection of sourcing to mitigate risk and reduce overall cost of ownership of the parts.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and program quality to identify part and supplier risk for proactive mitigation activities.
- Support AS9145 deployment in key suppliers to mitigate program risks.
- Drive "Zero Defect" culture within the supply base
The successful candidate:

- Possesses a strong understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Sampling and Inspection, FAI/PPV) along with relevant industry standards and their application to drive execution excellence
- Relates well with individuals at all levels of the organization, builds appropriate rapport, fosters constructive and effective relationships
- Collaborate with cross functional teams

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 6-8+ years of experience or 10-12+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Ability to analyze supplier defect/performance data and display visually
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, requirements
- Excellent project management, planning, and organization skills
- Strong presentation skills, capable of briefing at all levels of the organization
- Experience with requirements management and flowdown
- Working knowledge of APQP/AS9145 as well as AS9100 (preferred) or equivalent QMS in other industries
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
