The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Middle Office Oversight Analyst to join our Middle Office Outsourced Team. The successful candidate will need to have excellent analytic, organizational, and prioritization skills to support the Supplier Oversight Manager with governance and oversight tasks ensuring key deadlines are met. The analyst will work closely with the external Middle Office Supplier by collaborating with their broader Supplier Operations & Oversight teams for the seamless integration of middle office services, addressing and challenging them on any of their day-to-day activities, incidents, and operational issues.
The analyst plays a key role in face-to-face internal and external supplier oversight meetings to ensure service standards are maintained and any issues are promptly addressed. The role involves regular collaboration with key internal stakeholders throughout the business, including senior management, to address any issues and collate feedback in relation to middle office services.
The analyst coordinates with the risk management team to identify and mitigate risks associated with outsourced services, ensuring expected service standards and remediation deadlines are met. The role involves working with audit, resilience, and compliance teams to strengthen controls within the oversight and governance model, particularly in preparation for and the output of Audit, Due Diligence, and BCP inspections.
Additionally, the analyst will use their skills to analyze and challenge MI, and they will also prepare client presentations and meeting packs.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Required:
- Strong analysis skillset, with the ability to identify operating model gaps and develop recommendations for their resolution
- Deep rooted experience in governance and oversight framework implementation of a third party provider
- Excellent knowledge, and experience of working with/within middle office servicing
- Understanding of regulatory and auditable middle office processes and procedures
- Strong understanding of risks and controls inherent within and outsourced supplier model and how to mitigate them
- Interpersonal & influencing skills - ability to work closely and effectively with all stakeholders (internal & external)
- Proven experience in managing relationships with external suppliers in an asset managements environment
- Relationship management experience
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Strong communication & presentations skills
- Tenacious and self-motivated
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders in Middle Office service provider
- Ability to present and challenge data covering service metrics
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end operations model for investment management (front-to-back understanding)
- Knowledge of regulations impacting middle office processes
- Good analytical and problem solving skills to support the escalation of issues and suggestion of appropriate solutions
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Desired:
- Significant operational experience within asset management
- Highly desirable to have to had expertise in working in an asset manager who has previously outsourced services to a middle office service provider
- IAQ/IMC preferable
- Regulatory awareness e.g. AIFMD, EMIR, STFR
