The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees cleanliness at the resort, allocates tasks, inspects areas, trains staff, and ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards.
A Housekeeping Supervisor will support the Housekeeping Department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire resort.
ResponsibilitiesA Housekeeping Supervisor will support the Housekeeping Department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire resort. Specifically, a Housekeeping Supervisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Allocate work duties to Team Members
- Perform routine inspections and spot checks of rooms / lodges
- Undertake cleaning duties as required in Lodges, Suites and Public areas
- Report and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues
- Inspect, routinely, service areas, store rooms and corridors
- Schedule and supervise deep cleaning and any other projects
- Manage and train Room Attendants and other Team Members to ensure their performance is to the standards required
- Efficiently manage stock control and the maintenance of equipment
- Provide excellent Guest service, including VIP and other special requirements
- Ensure the adherence to Resort brand standards at all times
- List relevant and enticing benefits & key job highlights
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Positive attitude & good communication skills
- Committed to delivering consistently high levels of quality standards of work and customer service
- Previous experience in a Housekeeping supervisory role would be preferred
- Excellent grooming standards
- A successful track record of working with and managing a team would be preferred
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Strong organizational and analytic skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills - A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
