What's the job

Subject Matter Experts (SME) at Novidea play a pivotal role in bridging deep domain expertise with the needs of our Product team. As an SME, you’ll ensure that our solutions align with market demands, customer expectations, and industry standards. You will collaborate with Product Managers to shape product direction, support R&D during development, and contribute to the overall success of our offerings in the insurance technology space.

The SME is responsible for providing strategic and detailed guidance to both the product managers and business analysts that design, shape, and establish cross-regional and cross-functional applications for insurance brokers and agents around the world.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the company’s domain expert, staying ahead of industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
  • Engage with prospects and customers to uncover pain points and translate their feedback into actionable product insights.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers in the discovery phase to validate ideas and align concepts with domain best practices.
  • Contribute to defining and refining product requirements, and ensure features meet both customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, webinars, and industry events, sharing your expertise and insights.
  • Analyze post-launch feedback and recommend improvements or future enhancements to drive product success.

What You Bring 

  • Deep Domain Expertise in the London Market insurance domain, with a strong grasp of market trends and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CLASS messaging
  • Proficiency in A&S messaging standards and London Market LPANs
  • Considerable experience working on product teams in Product Manager roles
  • Customer Empathy that enables you to understand pain points, anticipate needs, and advocate for user-centric solutions.
  • Collaborative Mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Business Analysts, and R&D.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and contributing actionable solutions.
  • Effective Communication Skills to clearly convey complex domain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical Savvy, including familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and software development workflows.
  • Industry Involvement, such as speaking at or attending relevant conferences and events.
  • Analytical Skills to interpret data and translate insights into product improvements.

  • Experience in finance & insurance industry
  • Strong financial understanding of accounting processes
  • Experience with InsurTech and fintech companies 
  • Salesforce experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • U/I or U/X experience
  • Experience working with Atlassian products, specifically Jira and Confluence
