Join us as a Strategy, Insight and Intelligence Manager

  • In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the development and execution of the Group's innovation strategy by delivering strategic insight
  • You’ll apply strong strategic thinking to analyse this insight, connect disparate information, identify underlying patterns, and help scout and identify partners and technologies that can anticipate changing customer needs and respond to strategic business challenges
  • It’s an opportunity to provide thought leadership and support to the function to develop ideas, articulating and delivering the strategy aligned to the overall group strategy and purpose

What you'll do

As a Strategy, Insight and Intelligence Manager, you’ll be responsible for key insight and intelligence strategic outputs while leading a team to conduct research and analysis to translate into meaningful strategic business information to feed into and develop the One Bank innovation strategy.

Working with franchises, functions and external partners, you’ll break down organisational barriers and boundaries to collaboratively deliver our innovation and partnerships strategy in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

You’ll also be:

  • Providing a continuous stream of insight on breaking and horizon technology disruption issues that may affect the business to share with key internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the ongoing monitoring and analysis of market and competitor activity, new and emerging business models, new business and venture opportunities, and emerging macro trends for innovation and partnerships 
  • Consolidating and aggregating insights to share with key stakeholders and audiences  
  • Syndicating insights across the organisation, delivering impactful presentations and communications to educate stakeholders and inspire action
  • Contributing to the development of innovation and partnerships strategy and value propositions
  • Establishing, tracking, and measuring technology, societal, and behavioural trends, and using this insight to identify opportunities for the bank that anticipate changing customer needs  
  • Working with senior decision-making stakeholders to understand strategies and challenges which can be informed or addressed by external innovation and strategic thinking

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll need significant knowledge and experience of innovative technologies relevant to banking and innovation. You’ll also bring significant problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and interpret information.

In addition, you’ll need:

  • Significant strategic and value-based commercial experience, with the proven ability to think conceptually and connect disparate information to identify underlying opportunities and threats
  • Stakeholder management experience at senior levels across the organisation and externally
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of significant strategy and financial planning and change management  
  • The ability to identify potential areas of opportunity for delivering better value for customers and opportunities to increase revenue
