Your new role - Head of Strategy,

Are you a creative and strategic dynamo with a flair for podcasts – especially the new era of podcasts that are now shows enjoyed visuallyin audio and across social?

Global Studios is an exciting new focus for Global – where all podcasts exist under the Global Studios umbrella brand. Whether they are Global Originals (produced in in house at Global), 3rd party shows that Global host and monetises, or our recent acquisitions, The Fellas Studios and Gary Neville’s Overlap offering.

Global Studios is already home to some of the UK’s leading shows such as The News Agents, The Sports Agents, My Therapist Ghosted Me, Stick To Football, The Fellas, Saving Grace, and many more. At Global Studios, we have huge ambitions to grow this brand – increasing our content and the revenue we generate.

This is a critical role for our future success and is important across both the Content and Advertising sides to the business.

As a Head of Strategy at Global Studiosyou’ll be a brilliant storyteller. Using insights and data, spotting trends, you’ll be able to create narratives that are impactful, clear and desirable for both advertisers and creators.

You’ll have a deep understanding of the advertiser and agency planning and buying process and provide the sales team with Go To Market materials – both long term, and for tactical moments. You’ll be obsessed by the trends that define the culture of today’s audiences, whether it is Gen Z, sports loving or politically charged. You’ll be thoughtful and considered, proactive and brave, and highly organised and able to communicate expertly verbally, in writing and when presenting.

Key Responsibilities
  • GTM Sales Strategy (30%): Working with key team members to come up with brilliant sales narratives and materials for our team to take out to market. Why Global Studios, Why our shows, Why Podcasts?

  • GTM Content Strategy (30%): Working with relevant team members to understand why creators, agents and 3rd parties, should choose to work with Global Studios rather than our competitors. Then create beautiful GTM materials for our Content team to use in their outreach and pitches.

  • Brief Responses (40%)When required for large sales brief responses, provide help in forming the idea back to clients

  • Enjoy our content (10%): For the eagle-eyed reading this, this takes us to 110%. You will need to be fluent & knowledgeable about our content. We would hope and expect you to enjoy our content in your own time too as part of your wider media consumption

What You’ll Love About This Role

Think Big: Every day is an opportunity to push boundaries, working across departments to bring fresh ideas to life.

Own It: Take charge of projects from start to finish, delivering standout content across Global’s brands.

Keep it Simple: Break down complex concepts into clear, engaging, and easily digestible content that resonates with our audience.

Better Together: Collaborate with a dynamic team on campaigns that span all our platforms—on-air, online, and more.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Gained a full understanding of all Global Studios content, team members, how we work within the wider Global eco system

  • Reviewed all GTM and narratives that exist currently, with recommendations for how they can be improved, align with our future strategy, and are as good, or better than our competitors

  • Built strong relationships within the Global Studios team, so everyone understands how you can help them in their roles.

  • Embraced our workflows, ensuring smooth, efficient project execution.

  • Communicated effectively across the business, keeping everyone in the loop.

  • Thrived in a supportive, passionate team.

  • Maintain the Global Studios mindset  confident, yet humble, open and honest, driven and ambitious.

What You’ll Need
  • Creativity & Storytelling: Think outside the box and craft compelling narratives that drive results.

  • Organisation & Flexibility: Juggle multiple projects, adapt to change, and consistently deliver on time.

  • Strategic & Data-Driven Thinking: Apply smart, strategic insights informed by data.

  • Clarity & Presentation: Communicate ideas simply, clearly, and confidently to teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Design Savvy: Create work that looks amazing and resonates with our customers.

  • Positivity & Can-Do Attitude: Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.
