About the Role:

OMD EMEA is seeking a strategy director to act as the primary strategic lead for Under Armour. You will join a department of brilliant thinkers where strategy is celebrated as the heartbeat of the agency. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with a passion for sports and a deep understanding of content culture.

The mission: your goal is to unlock long-term brand growth for Under Armour through innovative, integrated communications. You will be the bridge between data-driven insights and disruptive creative direction while managing a collaborative ecosystem of agency partners across paid, owned, and earned media.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop impactful campaign strategies that elevate the brand and product presence across Europe.
  • Lead content strategy workstreams to enhance agency capabilities in this high-growth area.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure strategy guides everything from social content to brand partnerships.

Your profile:

  • Experience in a strategically focused media or communications roles from within a media, creative or digital agency environment.
  • Proven experience in translating media research into rigorous, actionable strategic frameworks for large advertisers
  • You bring a specialised background in content strategy and a genuine passion for sports marketing, specifically in delivering innovative media solutions, such as identifying influencer talent and integrating sports sponsorships.
  • You'll need experience providing solutions for the next big thing in media innovation - integrating into the wider media frameworks and delivering across multiple markets.
  • Experience working with key client stakeholders and collaborating with internal planning, client servicing, data & content teams as well as external creative agency partners.

Our working pattern for colleagues is to be present in the office three days a week at our offices in London with the other days available to work remotely. Let us know if you have any questions about our working pattern as part of your application and interview process.


Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working.  Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
