Job Description

Are you interested in helping shape the future of Wayfair’s analytics and support driving insights and visibility across the business? Are you excited about being at the leading edge of Wayfair’s commercial strategy, building the approach that will enable Wayfair to succeed both today and in the future?

As a Manager on the NAEURTA (North America & Europe Recipe, Tools, and Analytics) team, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing cost, assortment and promotion strategies across Wayfair's global supplier base. Reporting to the Head of Global Recipe Performance, this individual drives measurable improvements in key cost-related metrics while enabling scalable supplier engagement and campaign execution in both the US and EU markets.

This is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with Category Management, Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs), Profit Management, Pricing Algorithms, and Tech & Reporting teams to build tools, processes, and strategies that drive down costs, improve promotional depth, and deliver value to both Wayfair customers and suppliers.

How is this opportunity unique?

Wayfair is a data-driven environment. Candidates with experience using data to drive decision-making are great matches.

We move fast and take risks. If you loved working at a start-up or in another fast-paced, risk-taking environment, you’d enjoy working at Wayfair. Be prepared to constantly evolve.

Confidence is key. The Retail Technology & Analytics team has a 360° view across suppliers, supplier-facing business teams, and internal Wayfair technology and product teams. You’ll need to be able to gain buy-in from senior leaders and cross-functional teams to accomplish your goals.

Our business is in high-growth stage and so is our team. We’re looking for team members who are ready and eager to get their hands dirty and drive results right away.

What You'll Do

  • Own and evolve Wayfair’s global cost and promotional strategy, with a focus on driving competitiveness in everyday pricing and major promotional events (e.g., Way Day, Cyber Week).
  • Lead NA & EU-wide cost strategy and sprints , driving aggressive base cost negotiations through scalable comms, bulk recommendations, and talk tracks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders  (Global Partner support team, Profit Management, engineering) to design and enhance tools  to support CM and supplier decision-making. (e.g Negotiation Hub, Cost Stack, etc)
  • Align North America and European approaches for campaigns, ensuring localization without sacrificing scalability.
  • Improve product cost level and drive deep promotional cost reduction for major events through supplier marketing levers, appcues, and discount strategy coordination.
  • Build and deliver training to Category Managers on new cost tools, negotiation strategies, and best practices.
  • Lead the roadmap for tech changes related to cost management, including B2B promotions, cost end date functionality, and base cost migration from superrooms.
  • Monitor adoption and impact of new tools and strategies, and provide ongoing reporting and feedback to senior stakeholders.

What You'll Need

  • Strong quantitative skills: ability to develop analytical methodologies and assumptions, use data software to conduct analyses, vet and pressure-test data, and synthesize findings
  • Strong communication skills: ability to succinctly summarize and tailor your communication style to your audience (e.g., senior business stakeholders versus technical product teams).
  • Skilled in cross-functional program management, with experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to dissect and determine root causes, and vet / prioritize potential solutions (near- and long-term)
  • Strong prioritization skills: consistent “nose for value”, prioritizing potential projects / features based on impact to the business
  • Ability to learn and act quickly, making decisions and drawing conclusions in the face of ambiguity
  • Strategic thinker with deep experience in pricing, vendor negotiations, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Experience in working with complex tooling ecosystems and leading roadmap development with technical teams.
  • Experience managing others
  • Advanced Excel and familiarity with SQL, Looker, or similar BI tools.
  • 5 -8  years experience in a strategy, pricing, merchandising, or consulting role.
  • Strong understanding of B2B/B2C retail economics and digital marketplace dynamics.
