We are seeking a talented Analyst to join our Strategy team. Brevan Howard's Strategy team partners with the firm's senior executives and business leaders to shape the firm's strategic direction and growth. This individual will work alongside members of the team in London and New York to evaluate strategic priorities, assess partnership opportunities, and develop actionable insights that shape how one of the world's foremost macro and multi-strategy hedge funds evolves and grows. Members of Strategy work across teams at Brevan Howard to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role will carry responsibility for market intelligence — understanding the competitive landscape and providing insights and data to business teams across Brevan Howard. This is a generalist role with broad exposure across product lines, geographies, and functional teams — well-suited to candidates who thrive in dynamic, high-stakes environments, reporting directly to the Head of Strategy.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end corporate development and internal optimization projects at leading global alternative asset manager.
  • Conduct in-depth competitive intelligence and industry landscape analyses covering asset class trends, fee compression dynamics, distribution channel shifts, and peer benchmarking.
  • Prepare high-quality presentation materials for the Board, Executive Committee, and Operating Committee, translating complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to advance strategic initiatives and monitor execution against key milestones.
  • Support key strategic planning processes

PERSON SPECIFICATION

   WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

Desirable

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, STEM
  • Financial modeling skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in capital markets and asset management
  • Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy
  • Familiarity with asset management business models, product structures, and distribution channels
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Python, SQL, Tableau, or BI platforms) and LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT)
