The Strategy Analyst supports the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer (CSTO) in translating strategic priorities into structured plans, clear governance, and disciplined execution. The role helps close existing governance and coordination gaps by tracking strategic initiatives, supporting prioritisation, and ensuring actions, decisions, and dependencies are visible and followed through.

Operating at the interface of strategy and transformation delivery, the role combines analytical support with light project management and administrative coordination. It enables the CSTO to focus on strategic leadership by taking ownership of the “doing”: preparing materials, maintaining oversight of priorities, coordinating inputs across teams, and ensuring strategy-related activity progresses in line with agreed direction.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy Execution & Priority Tracking:

  • Maintain a clear view of enterprise strategic priorities, initiatives, and dependencies

  • Track progress against agreed objectives, milestones, and outcomes

  • Identify slippage, risks, or conflicts in priorities and escalate appropriately

  • Support prioritisation by consolidating information on demand, capacity, and strategic alignment

Governance & PMO-style Support:

  • Support the design and operation of light-touch strategy governance

  • Coordinate agendas, actions, and decision logs for strategy-related forums

  • Ensure decisions are documented, communicated, and followed up

  • Track actions and ensure ownership and timelines are clear

Analysis & Insight Support:

  • Conduct analysis to support strategic thinking (e.g. options analysis, market or internal data review)

  • Prepare concise briefings, summaries, and slide packs for senior stakeholders

  • Synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, decision-ready outputs

  • Support ad-hoc strategy work as required by the CSTO

Stakeholder Coordination & Information Flow:

  • Act as a coordination point where required between the CSTO, the strategy team and other functions

  • Ensure relevant strategy insights, decisions, and updates are shared appropriately

  • Gather inputs from across the organisation to support strategy development and reporting

Continuous Improvement & Ways of Working:

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in strategy execution and governance processes

  • Propose practical improvements to tracking, reporting, and prioritisation

  • Help establish consistent ways of working across strategy-related activity

Experience and Technical skills

  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear questions, options, and actions

  • String prioritisation skills, with the ability to highlight trade-offs and capacity constraint

  • Able to synthesise information from multiple sources into concise, decision-ready insights

  • Proactive in identifying risks, issues, and gaps in governance or execution, and supporting resolution

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience

Essential:

  • Background in strategy, consulting, business analysis, PMO, or corporate functions

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Ability to structure ambiguous information into clear outputs

  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and follow-through

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel

  • Strong administrative skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in strategy, consulting, transformation, or PMO environments

  • Basic project management or coordination experience

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Exposure to governance forums or executive reporting
