By joining Indirect Supply Management EMEA team as the Strategic Sourcing Manager you would have direct impact on Medtronic Supply Market Management strategy. Successful candidate will be required to work from the office 2 days a week. We are able to consider candidates from surrounding areas of Heerlen, Netherlands; Warsaw, Poland or Milan, Italy.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

  • Develop and Execute Strategy: Lead the creation and implementation of long-term indirect sourcing strategies for the EMEA Region in collaboration with the Global Indirect Category Management Team and Functional/Commercial Business Partners
  • Business Partnering: In close collaboration with commercial and functional partners, build and execute  a continuous pipeline of sourcing and spend management initiatives that provide financial benefits and business impact for the organization
  • End-to-End Sourcing Management & Process improvement: Own the sourcing lifecycle from market analysis, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance management. Drive compliance with corporate policies and regional regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier performance, risk management, and process efficiency
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to ensure continuity, innovation, and competitive advantage

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven ability to apply strategic sourcing management principles, with experience managing indirect sourcing and spend across multiple categories (e.g. Supply Chain, T&E, Facilities, Professional Services, HR, Fleet)
  • Strong track record of business partnering with senior leadership, particularly in finance
  • Expertise in complex project management and supplier negotiations at both regional and global levels
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams of strategic sourcing professionals
  • Extensive EMEA-wide supply market experience and effective cross-regional collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years; excellent communication skills, strong sense of responsibility, and high flexibility

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
