At Moodle, we’re on a mission to empower educators and learners worldwide with open, flexible, and innovative digital learning solutions. As the world’s most customizable and trusted open-source LMS, we partner with schools, universities, and organizations in over 200 countries to create better learning experiences for millions. If you’re ready to make a real impact,  and be part of a global movement shaping the future of learning, join us—let’s transform education together!

About the Role

Lead Deals. Build Partnerships. Shape the Future of EdTech.

We’re looking for a commercially minded, tech-savvy leader to join our Global Partnerships team as a Strategic Partnerships Manager (Technology). In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue and growing Moodle’s global partner ecosystem - including integrations, resellers (VARs) and Marketplace vendors. You’ll lead a small team, own ambitious commercial targets and play a central role in negotiating high-value technology partnerships that bring real value to our users and the Moodle platform.

You don’t need to be an engineer - but you should have a genuine interest in technology, understand what things like APIs and integrations mean in a business context and be comfortable engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

  • Design and execute partnership strategies that drive revenue, product value and ecosystem growth
  • Lead and close commercial negotiations, from early-stage conversations through to signed deals
  • Oversee and refine scalable programs for certified integrations, resellers and Marketplace vendors
  • Manage a small team to deliver on ambitious targets and contribute to a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Legal and Marketing to bring partnerships to life
  • Drive partner compliance, reporting and onboarding with support from operational resources
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities - from growth in key markets (e.g. US Federal, India) to platform-aligned integrations
Requirements

We’d love to meet you

Especially if you can tell us about your:

  • Proven experience in strategic partnerships, business development or partner/channel sales
  • A track record of negotiating and closing commercial deals and managing key partner relationships
  • Leadership experience - you know how to set direction, motivate your team, and deliver results together
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to balance partner needs and business goals
  • An interest in the tech landscape you understand concepts like APIs and integrations and can speak confidently with both business and technical teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills - you know how to bring people on the journey

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working with education technology, SaaS or digital platforms
  • Familiarity with partner marketplaces or channel sales ecosystems
  • Experience working with US Federal or Indian market partners
