Job Summary:

Our Strategy & Marketing Insights team plays an important role in providing vision and focus to position the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) business as a leader in energy transition for Gas Technology, Climate Technology and Industrial technologies in line with Baker Hughes net zero emission 2050 target. Our group of highly analytical and strategic thinkers understand market trends and their impact on the business/customer needs and how IET can support their profitable growth.
 

As a Strategic Marketing Senior Manager – Cordant Solutions & IET Digital, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and synthetizing a clear view of the relevant market dynamics, long term trends, drivers and profitability at global level.
  • Accounting for market sizing, including provide and examine projects and opportunities list, analyzing after market opportunities, brownfield upgrades and replacements.
  • Scouting new markets and adjacencies for IET, suggest growth areas for the business-, short- and long-term growth opportunities, develop business case for future organic/inorganic plays.
  • Understanding of key players and actors, sub/segment ecosystem, customers’ behaviors and specific product needs and customers segmentation structures.
  • Working with the Cordant Solutions product management team to develop product positioning, competitiveness, and value proposition.
  • Leading strategic playbook and business review preparation, partnering with the Cordant Solutions Product Management team as well as the rest of the Cordant Solutions Leadership Team and Digital teams in the other Business Units across IET, particularly Gas Tech Services and Climate Tech Solutions to develop strategy and action plans, supporting business case development.
  • Lead Market studies and Voice of Customer analytics to support the product and go to market strategy development and execution, being a critical partner for the commercialization and communication team to increase market penetration.
  • Partner with Baker Hughes Investor Relations, Baker Hughes HQ Market Intelligence team and the rest of the IET Strategy & Marketing Insights team to develop macroeconomic/market outlook and storytelling for external communication.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have BSc. or MSc. from an accredited university or college.
  • Demonstrate a solid background in Marketing or related field (i.e product leadership, commercial roles in the energy industry, commercial finance analysis).
  • Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization.
  • Have very good analytical and process skills, ability to understand the story behind the numbers.
  • Have a strong background in Industrial Software with a good understanding of the markets Industrial Software serves especially Oil & Gas, LNG, Powergen, and Industrial end markets such as Chemicals, Fertilizers and Mining.
  • Have a strong background in Energy, Gas and / or Powergen industries.
  • Have very good oral and written English language skills.
  • Strong Capabilities across the Microsoft Office Suite.
