Position Summary
We are seeking a high-potential Strategic Economic Partnerships Manager to join a small, but high-impact team within the Group Strategy organisation. The Economic Partnerships team has two key responsibilities: government funding and government offsets. Each of which has a significant opportunity for furthering the company strategy and protecting core value – and each is measured in the hundreds of millions.
The Economic Partnerships Manager will lead country accounts for funding and offset, being responsible for maximising the value to Rolls-Royce of those relationships with the country and ensuring alignment with our strategy.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of corporate strategy, government engagement, and international business. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership from across the company; our team covers all Divisions and all geographies. This will include close day-to-day working with the SVP and VPs in the team who lead the company’s complex and strategically important government funding and offset programmes.
What you will be doing:
This role is a vitally important contributor to the team. From an early stage, you will be trusted to lead your own portfolio of international offset accounts, shape solutions to complex problems, and represent the function with credibility across the organisation. You will:
- Own and lead a portfolio of international economic partnership / offset country accounts, with real accountability for delivery.
- Work directly to support the team VPs on the larger high-profile funding and offset programmes, acting as a key analytical and delivery partner
- Lead ad hoc strategic projects, driving or support funding bids from across the organisation.
- Build and strengthen governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks that underpin billions of pounds of long-term commitments
- Engage and influence stakeholders across strategy, research and technology, finance, engineering, legal, supply chain, and programme teams to minimise offset obligations, and ensure successful exploitation of funding opportunities.
Position Qualifications:
Candidates will be degree-educated, and have an excellent academic background, demonstrating strong analytical skills, rigour of thought, and curiosity. A good grounding and understanding of economic principles are highly valued. You do not need prior experience in offset or government funding, but you do need intellectual curiosity, resilience, and the confidence to operate in a senior, fast-paced environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior audiences clearly and credibly
