A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The Marketing Transformation Team is a strategic collective of practitioners in strategy & consulting, marketing technology and content strategy. The team is at the forefront of our most strategic and AI enabled solutions collaborating closely with clients to enable the creation and delivery of content experiences at scale.

What does a Strategic Business Analyst do at Hogarth?

A  Strategic Business Analyst at Hogarth bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions. They analyse existing business processes and systems, translate stakeholder requirements (acting as a proxy Product Owner when needed) for the Product Development team, and collaborate with subject matter experts to standardize data capture that aids in delivering transformation globally. This involves close collaboration with Product Configuration to validate data, creating user journeys, UX workflows, and detailed business models (as-is and to-be) incorporating process and benefit analysis. Ultimately, they drive the development of standardized global working practices while defining business objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.

You will work closely with Client, Hogarth & WPP delivery teams and sponsors.

The Strategic Business Analyst sits within the Marketing Transformation Consultancy team in the UK while working with our global offices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client marketing & technology teams to understand their business processes, system requirements and marketing technology needs. In partnership with Strategic Consulting, they work with our product teams communicating client requirements, acting as their voice and a proxy Product Owner to ensure solutions meet their needs.
  • Work closely with client marketing operations and our internal delivery teams to define data and configuration requirements, enabling efficient data capture, transformation and integration within the client's marketing ecosystem.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between client teams and our technical implementation team, analysing and validating data to ensure seamless onboarding and integration with existing systems.
  • Develop compelling use cases, document optimised business processes, and provide recommendations for leveraging our AI-powered marketing solutions. This includes creating user journeys, UX workflows, and supporting documentation for client teams and our internal teams.
  • Analyse client's current marketing operations (as-is) and design future-state models (to-be) incorporating process improvements, benefit analysis, and the integration of AI capabilities. Help establish standardised ways of working that optimise marketing operations across the client's organization, leveraging our technology and AI solutions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of implemented solutions on the client's marketing objectives.

Requirements

  • Elicit and document requirements: Leverage business analysis expertise (preferably in a marketing content operations environment) to gather and document client needs for AI-powered marketing solutions through stakeholder workshops.
  • Design and develop solutions: Guide the development of enterprise web applications, creating user stories and managing backlogs.
  • Manage system integrations: Oversee seamless data flow between client systems and our AI solutions, defining integration requirements and collaborating with technical teams.
  • Facilitate communication: Bridge communication between business users and developers, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and technical concepts.
  • Manage project complexity: Prioritise activities, manage complex projects and dependencies, and mitigate risks for timely delivery.
  • Champion Agile practices: Utilise Agile expertise (user stories, backlogs, Scrum) to drive efficient and iterative development.
  • Build stakeholder relationships: Employ strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
