Strategic Account Manager, Reuters

Reuters Professional are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to sell bespoke digital and custom branded content solutions to some of the world's largest brands across the EMEA region, working with retained clients but with a particular focus for generating new business across the region.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will work closely with clients in the technology, pharmaceutical and manufacturing verticals. As you'll be pitching bespoke custom content in response to our clients' needs, this position would suit a B2B digital media sales professional that enjoys taking an entrepreneurial and consultative approach to clients. It's a great opportunity to harness and develop your relationship building and client management skills to ensure that our internal teams are delivering the great content our clients are seeking.
You'll work within Reuters Professional, an agile digital and events publishing business in the heart of the world’s largest news organization. Our mission is to be the premier source of news for global professionals and we combine technology and editorial innovation across Reuters.com to deliver a powerful experience to over 97 million monthly users on the web, mobile and events. It's a unified offering that gives professionals global news coverage, agenda-setting financial commentary and industry-leading events, through essential services such as Reuters.com, the Reuters News app and Reuters Events.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you'll sell across Reuters’ extensive award-winning platforms (think digital display, native, mobile, video, account-based marketing, custom content, and event sales), and will be primarily responsible for developing, managing and expanding, Reuters' client base within your particular sector grouping.
About the Role
As a Strategic Account Manager at Reuters, you will:

Be consultative with your clients, matching most appropriate solutions to their business development, thought-leadership, lead-generation and client engagement objectives

Enjoy learning about new markets and staying up to date with industry trends (think current affairs, technological developments and changes across industries)

Represent Reuters at a high volume of weekly meetings with prospective agency/ client stakeholders, ensuring a solid understanding of account strategy and challenges.

Work closely with our research teams, presenting research and insights that highlights Reuters' strengths versus the competitive set.

Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing team and Digital Sales Planner. You'll develop proposals that align the advertiser’s strategy with our Content Marketing and Reuters.com offering and win business across new and emerging platforms.

Report to the Head of EMEA & APAC, develop a quarterly plan for target accounts, associated agencies, and revenue projections.

Be a visible figure at industry events and get to know our clients well.

Deliver Quarterly and Annual revenue targets.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Strategic Account Manager at Reuters if you have:

Demonstrable experience of selling Digital and Content led solutions on an international basis. We're looking for someone with a passion for news and journalism, with a strong understanding of the online advertising market with views on future trends.

The drive and ability to work closely with international clients in the Pharmaceuticals, Technology and Manufacturing spaces.

Proven success in selling large value deals to clients direct and in conjunction with their agencies. We'd love to hear more about your successes of working with clients in a multimedia environment on your application.

Excellent presentation and communication skills. We're looking for someone who's comfortable representing the Reuters brand when engaging with other industry-leading businesses.

A collaborative attitude. We're team players at Reuters Professional and are looking for someone who can succeed both individually and within a team-based environment.

The desire to progress and develop your skills further. We have an excellent (uncapped!) commission scheme that rewards your achievements and are keen to grow and invest in our sales team.

The ability to adapt to changes in markets and articulate potential solutions to a range of stakeholders over the phone, in person and on video calls.

Proven success in selling large value deals to clients directly and in conjunction with their agencies.
