Most AI vendors are pitching the future. You'll be closing it.
The Company
Sendbird is on a mission to build the AI workforce of tomorrow. For over a decade, we built the infrastructure behind conversations—chat, voice, video, messaging APIs—and became the #1 CPaaS platform for in-app communications. 4,000+ brands trust us. 7 billion messages flow through our platform every month. 300 million monthly active users.
We powered conversations for DoorDash, Match Group, Noom, Yahoo Sports, Rakuten, and thousands of others. We were good at what we did. Really good.
We also saw it early: AI would fundamentally reshape how businesses talk to customers. The infrastructure we'd spent a decade building would become commoditized. The value would move up the stack—into intelligence, into experience, into outcomes.
We had a choice: protect what we built, or reinvent ourselves.
We chose reinvention.
In December 2024, we made the full strategic pivot to AI-first customer experience. By February 2025, we'd launched our AI agent for enterprise CX—built on a decade of conversation data, now with intelligence on top. And in November 2025, we rebranded to Delight.ai.
The name says it all. AI's real promise isn't efficiency or cost savings. It's giving customers back something they lost—the feeling of being truly understood and cared for. Not satisfied. Delighted.
The Product
Delight.ai is the AI concierge for customer experience. Most AI agents forget you the moment the conversation ends. Ours doesn't. Delight.ai builds memory over time, learns preferences, and connects context across every channel—chat, SMS, email, voice, WhatsApp—without losing the thread. We're building AI that makes customers feel understood, seen, and remembered.
Why Strategic Account Executive
Enterprise companies are sitting on a pivotal decision: bolt generic AI onto their existing stack, or rethink how they engage customers entirely. The ones who get it right will own their category. The ones who don't will lose ground fast.
That's where you come in. Sendbird has the platform, the data, and the intelligence layer to help the world's most complex organizations make that leap. We need someone who can walk into a boardroom, challenge a CTO's assumptions about what AI can actually do for their customers, and guide a 7-figure deal across the finish line. Someone who also uses AI to work the way others can't, automating research, prep, and pipeline workflows so they show up sharper, move faster, and close harder than anyone else in the room.
The Role
You'll own a focused portfolio of roughly 15 strategic enterprise accounts, driving net new and expansion revenue by helping executive teams understand and commit to an Agentic AI vision for their customer experience. This role is for someone who thrives in complexity, builds conviction in rooms full of skeptics, and uses every tool available, including AI, to stay three steps ahead.
You might be this person if:
- You do your homework before every executive meeting, and half of that prep is automated. You've built workflows that pull account intel, news, and competitive signals so you walk in knowing things the prospect didn't expect you to know.
- You've navigated a 9-12 month enterprise cycle without losing momentum, and you use AI-assisted follow-up and pipeline tracking to make sure nothing slips.
- You think in terms of accounts, not opportunities. You use AI to map stakeholder networks, track relationship health, and surface expansion signals before they're obvious.
- You've challenged a C-suite assumption in a sales meeting and been right, because you'd done the analysis. Increasingly, AI helped you do it faster and deeper than anyone else in the room.
- You get genuinely curious about how technology works. You've gone beyond prompting. You've connected tools, automated workflows, and built something that saves your team real time.
- You hate bloated pipelines. You'd rather have 15 accounts you know cold than 50 you're spraying and praying, and you use AI-enriched data to keep your focus ruthlessly tight.
- When a deal stalls, your first instinct is to diagnose, not to discount. You'd sooner build a custom AI-generated insight deck for a stalled executive than drop the price.
You need to have:
- 10+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with a demonstrable track record of closing 7-figure deals.
- Direct experience selling to C-level executives and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
- Hands-on experience with a land-and-expand motion in a targeted strategic account environment.
- Formal sales methodology training and consistent application. MEDPICC, Challenger, or equivalent.
- Active AI tool usage in your current sales workflow. Automating research, building custom GPTs for account prep, connecting your CRM to enrichment pipelines. You're already doing this, not planning to start.
What you'll actually do:
- Own a named list of roughly 15 strategic accounts end-to-end, from account planning through close and expansion.
- Build and advance executive relationships across the C-suite, translating business challenges into a clear Agentic AI narrative tied to measurable outcomes.
- Automate account research and pre-call prep using AI pipelines so your time goes toward judgment and relationships, not manual information gathering.
- Run a disciplined, methodology-driven sales process through complex multi-threaded cycles involving developers, architects, and business leaders simultaneously.
- Challenge customers' assumptions about what AI-powered CX can do, backed by data, use cases, and ROI. Use AI tools to generate those assets faster than any competitor could.
- Build or contribute to internal AI workflows, whether an enrichment pipeline, account briefing bot, or automated reporting tool, that makes the broader sales team sharper.
- Partner with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Product to build account strategies that win and expand.
- Maintain a tight, qualified pipeline. Forecast accurately, move deals forward with precision, and know when to walk away.
- Bring market intelligence back into the organization: what customers are asking for, where competitors are showing up, and what's shifting at the enterprise buying level.
