BAE Systems is seeking a Statistician to support our government customer at Reston, VA and Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This statistician will be working in a classified environment and will develop and apply fundamental mathematics, mathematical or statistical theory to solve a wide range of intelligence problem and apply mathematical theories and statistical methods to solve practical problems. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Summarize numerical data to generate info to solve a wide range of intel problems.
  • Develop mathematical or statistical models of phenomena for analysis or computational simulation.
  • Design complex metrics-projects that apply valid scientific techniques and utilize information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure analyses.
  • Plan and perform data collection for projects, determining types and sizes of sample groups and prepare data for processing by organization information and checking for inaccuracies.
  • Process large amounts of data for metrics modeling and analysis.
  • Produce graphs, charts, tables, and metrics showing results of analyses.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Mid-level: Bachelor's degree in a related mathematics area with 8+ years of statistical analysis experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 10+ years of experience
  • Senior: Master's degree in a related mathematics area with 12+ years of statistical analysis experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience
  • Prior military or government analytical experience


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO, defense or IC equivalent (DIA BOTC, FBI OS101).
  • Specialization in fields such as bio-statistics, agricultural statistics, business statistics, or economic statistics, including mathematical and survey statisticians.
  • Experience conducting analytical support for the IC/DoD


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
