Hourly Rate: $25.00 in the US 

 

Internship Duration: 
10–12 weeks, full‑time (40 hrs/week) over the core summer period with a flexible start (ideally mid‑May to early June). Extensions into Aug–Oct may be available, shifting to part‑time (~10 hrs/week).  

 

The Role: 

The intern will work directly with the Chief Scientist and SVP of Data Science on large-scale statistical analysis projects, contributing to the development and refinement of 2026 U.S. election forecasting models. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the design and execution of statistical analyses at scale, 

  • Assist in building and validating predictive election models, 

  • Help interpret results for both technical and non-technical audiences.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication will be expected, as findings may need to be clearly conveyed across the organization. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in statistics, quantitative social science, or a closely related field.  
  • Practical working knowledge of Multilevel Regression with Post-stratification (MRP), applied statistics, and econometrics is essential.  
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and have hands-on programming experience in R. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required, along with the ability to learn new software and techniques independently.  
  • A high degree of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy is expected. 
  • Familiarity with LLMs is a plus but not required.
