What you will do:
Lead the monolith-to-services decomposition using patterns like Strangler Fig to support tens of millions of monthly active users.
Architect and scale AI infrastructure including vector databases, embedding pipelines, and LLM orchestration for automated creator tools.
Design and implement database optimization strategies for high-throughput workloads on PostgreSQL and transition toward event-driven systems.
The ideal candidate:
10+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping distributed systems at high-growth consumer platforms like Monzo, Revolut, or Deliveroo.
Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Go, and AWS, with a proven track record of scaling databases for millions of users.
Forward-thinking engineer who is fluent with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and excited about mentoring teams through technical leadership.
