Position Summary

Signify Health is transforming the home into a health hub by combining data, technology, and people to build trusted relationships that make people healthier. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as a key member of a collaborative team responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of business-critical, distributed systems.

In this role, you will work in a team that manages the foundational data and services for the core healthcare provider domain where our customers and stakeholders and other engineering teams. You will lead technical initiatives to solve complex, enterprise-wide problems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. You will be responsible for designing and building enterprise-grade systems using modern technology, delivering incremental value through platform-focused releases, and driving long-term improvements focused on simplicity. Additionally, you will collaborate to meet cross-organization needs, research leading-edge technologies, and refine the team through mentorship and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Engineering Foundation: Strong foundation in software engineering, including problem-solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, and concurrency.
  • Polyglot Skills: Experience as a polyglot engineer with proficiency in more than one language such as C++, C#, Java, Golang, Javascript, Typescript, or Python.
  • Full-Stack Development: Experience using full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS, specifically SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Distributed Systems: Strong experience in the design, implementation, and operation of distributed systems at scale.
  • Cloud Computing: Strong experience with cloud vendors such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Soft Skills: Clear and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Architecture: Familiarity with asynchronous, event-based architectures.
  • Technical Stack: Experience with technologies such as Kafka, REST APIs, Protobuf, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Monitoring: Experience with Application and Performance Monitoring platforms (e.g., New Relic).
  • DevOps: Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Methodology: Experience working with agile methodologies.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

€65,000.00 - €165,000.00
