Who we are
At Fortis Games we aspire to make great games that bring people together while redefining how game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.
We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the Role

We're building a game unlike anything else on the market. One that blends multiple gameplay layers into a fresh, deeply engaging experience for a broad casual audience. The creative foundation is strong. Now we need someone who can turn that innovation into a thriving business.

As Associate Director of Product, you'll own the product direction end-to-end: the game economy, live operations, monetization strategy, and the critical decisions that take us from soft launch validation to global launch and scale. This is a hands-on IC role with outsized strategic impact: you won't manage a team on day one, but you'll shape the business, influence every department that touches the game, and build toward a people-leadership track as we grow.

This isn't a role for someone who wants a playbook. It's for someone who can write one - for a game that's breaking new ground, for an audience we're still learning about, in a market that rewards boldness over convention.

What You’ll Achieve:
  • Own the game economy across multiple interconnected systems ( progression, monetization, resource flows ) and ensure long-term health and commercial viability.
  • Drive product direction by translating strategic hypotheses into concrete decisions, specifications, and shipped features.
  • Run live operations strategy: event cadence, segmentation, personalization, offer testing, and build toward a system that scales globally.
  • Validate soft launch performance through disciplined experimentation.  A/B tests, cohort analysis, and KPI deep-dives are deeply understood, and you make clear recommendations on global launch readiness.
  • Take real decisions under real pressure. You'll own the call on what to ship, what to cut, and when we're ready to scale.
  • Leverage AI to multiply your impact.  You do that not as a buzzword, but as a core working method. We expect firsthand knowledge of how AI tools reshape productivity, analysis, and product outcomes by orders of magnitude.
  • Influence across departments ( design, engineering, analytics, marketing, central teams), rallying people around the mission and the business of the game.
  • Deeply understand our audience: who they are, what they value, how they play, and what will make them stay and pay.
  • Write high-quality, actionable product specifications that enable speed without compromising system integrity.
Who You Are:
  • A deep product thinker. You see systems, not features. You think in feedback loops, second-order effects, and long-term arcs.
  • Someone who genuinely loves games. You play broadly, think critically about what works and why, and care about the player experience, not just the metrics.
  • Adventurous and bold. You're drawn to innovation and uncharted territory. You'd rather build something new than optimize something safe.
  • You don't just know about AI from chatbots,  you use it daily to work faster, think bigger, and unlock outcomes that wouldn't be possible otherwise. You bring strong opinions on where AI creates real leverage in product and business.
  • A business builder. You're not just shipping features, but you're trying to build a commercially successful, category-defining product.
  • Relentlessly focused on what matters. You cut through noise, prioritize ruthlessly, and measure your success by outcomes, not output.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • 7–10+ years of product management experience in F2P mobile games, with meaningful exposure to live operations and revenue-driving systems.
  • Proven experience contributing to or scaling a live game with measurable commercial performance; direct KPI ownership strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in game economy design, monetization modeling, and the interplay between economic systems and player behavior.
  • Proven ability to design, run, and interpret A/B tests during soft launch or live scaling phases.
  • Strong analytical fluency, comfortable with data tools (SQL, Excel, Looker, or similar), and partnering closely with analytics teams.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments where you owned outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Ability to influence across disciplines and bring alignment in cross-functional, remote-first teams.
  • A clear trajectory toward product leadership. This role starts IC, with a path to people management as we grow.
