The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be hybrid from one of the following office locations: London, Madrid, Munich, Dublin, or Berlin.

As an early member of our PTech Analytics team, you’ll be the driving force behind the data revolution within one of our critical product domains. Working as a trusted advisor to leaders from Product, Design & Engineering, you’ll be responsible for leveraging data & insights to directly influence our product strategy & roadmap. You’ll work embedded in our cross-functional product teams helping them to define, measure & maximize their impact with data, ultimately enabling them to build products our customers love.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Influence Decision-Making: Use a deep understanding of our product, users, and business to craft compelling data stories that guide product leaders in critical decisions.

  • Generate Insights: Analyze large, complex datasets to generate insights that shape product strategy and size opportunities to guide prioritization.

  • Define Success: Guide teams in defining success metrics and setting measurable goals (OKRs) that align with broader product and business objectives.

  • Monitoring & Reporting: Create engaging dashboards and reports to track product success and monitor performance.

  • Impact measurement: Work with teams to define hypotheses, develop testing plans and measure impact with statistical rigor.

  • Data Modeling: Collaborate with engineers to build scalable data models that enable self-service analytics and democratize data access.

  • Drive Data Literacy: Evangelize the use of data and empower teams to self-serve insights by increasing data literacy through enablement and close partnership.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • 7+ years experience in a data analytics role, with significant experience directly supporting product teams in product led companies.

  • Experience working directly with Product leaders to shape strategy & set measurable organisational goals.

  • Expert SQL skills with experience building scalable data models (in DBT is a plus).

  • Expert in creating compelling dashboards & visualizations in Looker, Tableau or similar BI tools.

  • Expert in all aspects of product analytics including building metric trees, experimentation, user activity & retention analytics, funnels & customer segmentation.

  • Deep experience designing event based tracking plans for web or mobile and hands-on experience with a behavioral analytics tool e.g. Amplitude, Heap, MixPanel etc.

  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling with proficiency in Python/R (e.g. basic regression/ML models, common statistical tests)
