About the Position:

As a Staff AI Platform Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how AI is adopted and applied across our organization. You’ll be responsible for driving AI-first initiatives that improve developer productivity, streamline workflows, and unlock new product capabilities. This is a highly cross-functional role focused on delivering real business outcomes.

We’re at an early stage in our AI journey. Teams are exploring different approaches, and there is strong curiosity and momentum across the organization. Your role will be to bring structure, standards, and clarity, helping teams use AI effectively and consistently while ensuring solutions scale across the business.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to identify high-impact use cases, integrate AI into our software development lifecycle, and enable teams to build and ship faster. You’ll also help evaluate emerging technologies, including agentic capabilities, and guide how they can be applied to our products and internal workflows.

Your success will depend on collaboration, influence, and the ability to align teams around practical, measurable solutions. You’ll act as a trusted advisor across the organization, coaching engineers, defining standards, and helping teams adopt AI in a way that improves productivity and delivers meaningful results.

This role is remote in Germany.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive the adoption of AI across the organization by identifying and implementing high-impact use cases that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Integrate AI tooling into the software development lifecycle, enabling faster delivery, improved code quality, and more efficient workflows.
  • Define standards, guidelines, and best practices for how AI is used across teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Provide input into the product roadmap based on a deep understanding of evolving AI and agentic technologies, helping the team identify new capabilities and product opportunities.
  • Work closely with teams to understand their workflows, gather requirements, and prioritize solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Establish metrics and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of AI initiatives, including developer productivity and operational impact.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on how to effectively use AI tools and frameworks in their day-to-day work.
  • Contribute to building a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and responsible AI adoption across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in software engineering, platform engineering, developer productivity, or similar roles focused on improving engineering workflows.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing AI-powered applications, automation workflows, or developer tooling.
  • Experience working in an AI-first or AI-enabled organization.
  • Experience integrating AI tools or capabilities into real-world engineering processes or products.
  • Strong system design and architectural thinking, with the ability to balance short-term experimentation with long-term scalability.
  • Experience working with modern programming languages such as TypeScript or Python.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, prioritize use cases, and measure the impact of technical initiatives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence teams and drive adoption across an organization.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments where ambiguity and experimentation are part of the process.
