WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant II of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to join our growing team. This individual will primarily specialize in the preparation and documentation of stock-based compensation expense as well as become a key collaborator to the SEC Reporting team. 

This role will report directly to the Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting and will have exposure to senior accounting and finance leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist in the preparation and calculation of stock-based compensation expense for equity awards which may include restricted stock units, stock options, employee stock purchase plans, or other awards. 
  • Monitor the issuance, exercise, forfeiture, and cancellations of awards across the Company.
  • Coordinate with the team for  month-end procedures such as reconciliations and analytics.
  • Create and post journal entries for month-end close.
  • Assist in the quarterly and annual financial statement and other disclosure preparation and review. 
  • Other special projects and technical areas, as needed, such as assistance with the documentation and maintenance of corporate accounting policies.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
  • 1+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Accounting certification (ACCA / CPA / CA / CECARR / or other) or a want to obtain, preferred.
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency with advanced Excel skills required, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
  • Critical thinker, detailed oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, and works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
