The Sr. Supervisor will lead the maintenance of rotary equipment, primarily focusing on pumps. Purpose of the Position:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our mechanical workshop team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the maintenance of rotary equipment, particularly pumps, and possess strong analytical abilities for root cause analysis both on-site and in the workshop environment. This role involves hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, teamwork, and a commitment to safety standards.Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on rotary equipment, with a primary focus on pumps, including commissioning and installation.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for equipment failures both at the site and within the workshop.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure timely and effective equipment repairs.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Demonstrate proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role, focusing on rotary equipment maintenance, particularly pumps.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulics of pumps and other equipment, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques.
- Issue comprehensive field service and pump inspection reports and maintain record-keeping practices.
- Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organization’s maintenance goals and monitor preventive maintenance compliance.
- Communicate and document work procedures, technical details, and updates to the workshop and field service team.
- Assist in coordinating more complex maintenance work.
- Issue monthly reports (jobs executed, pending, re-dos, job delays, job cancellations, customer report status).
- Maintain all tools and equipment (hand tools, calibration of measuring tools, calibration of lifting tools).
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Escalate technical product issues to Quality, Product Management, and Product Engineering.
- Provide product feedback and customer suggestions to concerned departments.
- Comply with and ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environment policies.
Qualification & Experience:Education: DAE-BS MechanicalExperience: 8-10 years of servicing pumps and other rotary equipment.Special Skills: In-depth technical knowledge of rotary machines and systems for root cause analysis of problems.
