The Sr Software Engineer works with a team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to craft, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. The Sr Software Engineer actively participates in architecture and design of various software components focused on crafting applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms and technologies.
In this position you will deliver initiatives for T-Mobile for Business (TfB) leveraging the Salesforce CRM application. In this role you will help integrate the application with numerous applications and develop improvements to deliver best-in-class solutions to our B2B customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports engineering projects by developing Salesforce software solutions, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations. Encouraged to supervise associate engineers on occasion.
  • Understand system protocols, how systems operate, and data flows. Aware of current technology benefits. Encouraged to independently develop a full software stack. Understands the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work. Independent study of current technology.
  • Present project improvement scenarios to management for consideration.
  • Monitor and influence relevant industry technologies and standards.
  • Present highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical decision-makers.
  • Continuously learns, builds content, and teaches others specific subject areas.
  • Informally coaches and contributes to the development of others through mentoring or in-house workshops and learning sessions. Develops engineers across functional teams on technology decisions.
  • Develops, designs, and implements new ideas that utilize new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service.
  • Investigative independent study and problem-solving for non-routine tasks.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Candidates for the Salesforce software engineer role must have (5-7 years of experience)
  • Expertise in Apex, JavaScript and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience with configuring and improving Salesforce Industry CPQ solutions.
  • Experience developing UI components using Aura Bundles and LWC.
  • Knowledge of Heroku and custom application development
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP, third-party integrations, and cloud-based services.
  • Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams such as design, product, and data teams to deliver phenomenal user experiences.
  • Understanding computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms to ensure consistency with software engineering standard methodologies, including object-oriented and functional programming.
  • Candidate must have good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills and an openness to learning new technologies.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to work well alone and with others.  Must be able to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously, as required. 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
 

Licenses and Certifications:

Certifications in Salesforce Platform Developer or Salesforce Cloud Development (preferred).

    Base Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000

    Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
