Your role at Dynatrace

As a Senior UX Designer in the Business Observability team, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our next-generation observability apps. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, data-rich interfaces that help users explore, optimize, and govern their digital business operations.

In this role:

You’ll shape a suite of innovative Business Observability applications:

  • Explore Business Events
Design workflows that help business users discover, filter, and correlate business events with technical telemetry. Make complex event data accessible and actionable through intuitive visualizations and interactions.
  • Business Flow
Craft user journeys that visualize end-to-end business processes. Enable users to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across distributed business processes.
  • Cost & Carbon Optimization
Create interfaces that help users understand the financial and environmental impact of their digital operations. Design dashboards and tools that support cost transparency, sustainability goals, and optimization strategies.
  • Compliance Assistant
Build experiences that guide users through compliance monitoring and reporting. Ensure clarity, traceability, and ease of use in navigating regulatory requirements and audit trails.

In addition to app-specific work, you will:

  • Lead UX strategy and contribute to product vision across Business Observability.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
  • Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to the Dynatrace design system.
What will help you succeed
  • You're an experienced designer (5+ years) with a portfolio of thoughtful, impactful work to show for, preferably in enterprise SaaS or data-heavy products.
  • You gravitate towards complex problems, self-starter, and demonstrate signs of UX leadership.
  • You have experience with data visualization and workflow design and are comfortable conducting user research. You have a good eye for visual and communication design, and mastering low- and high-fidelity prototypes is mediation for you.
  • Excellent communication skills, helping people understand the rationale behind design proposals and the complex nuances of design problems.
  • You have a growth mindset and are a great team player. We authentically admire and respect each other, and we think that motivates us to do great work.
  • Passion for turning complexity into clarity. Ability to focus on high impact opportunities and utilize designs to bring structure to the vision.
  • Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools) and familiarity with design systems.

When applying, please provide a link to an online portfolio showing 2 or 3 complex projects. Showcase the outcomes and explore the challenges or business needs addressed. Describe your role and responsibilities in those projects, emphasizing the strategies and processes used to develop solutions and navigate complexities. We're interested in your experience with digital software products and systems at the enterprise level, including B2B, SaaS, and desktop software projects. Avoid including mobile project examples.

Please kindly apply with both your resume and portfolio in English.
