Position Overview

The Sr Private Account Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth and expanding patient access for the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score® test' portfolio within the UK private healthcare sector. This role develops and executes strategic account plans across private medical insurers and private hospital providers to drive volume, pathway inclusion, and sustained revenue growth.

The Sr Private Account Manager serves as the primary commercial lead for assigned private accounts, engaging senior payer and provider stakeholders to communicate the clinical and health economic value of Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score® and ensure appropriate utilization in breast cancer treatment decision-making.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans targeting UK private medical insurers (PMIs) and private hospital groups.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score® within private breast cancer treatment pathways.
  • Achieve or exceed defined revenue and volume objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Medical Directors, policy leads, provider network managers, hospital executives, consultant oncologists, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Present clinical, guideline, and health economic evidence to support value-based discussions with payers and providers.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Finance, Contracting and NHS-focused colleagues to ensure aligned execution.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market insights to inform UK strategy.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with the Medtech Code, UK regulatory requirements, and Exact Sciences policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in private market account management.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging private medical insurers and/or private hospital groups.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in the private market.
  • Strong understanding of UK private healthcare reimbursement and contracting processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clinical and health economic evidence.
  • Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel nationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in oncology, breast cancer, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine.
  • Experience with genomic testing or specialty diagnostics.
  • Established network within UK private market and specifically oncology.
  • Experience negotiating reimbursement or commercial agreements.

Working Conditions

  • Field-based role with national UK coverage.
  • Frequent travel to customer sites and internal meetings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel nationally on a regular basis.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment and computer systems.
