About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager for our Workday Testing Services practice. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing and developing a team of specialist testing consultants across the UKI, DACH, South and Nordics regions.

This position is not about testing product development; it is about ensuring the flawless testing of Workday configurations. You will be the key thought leader and trusted advisor, guiding our team and our clients through complex testing cycles to ensure their Workday solution perfectly matches their business requirements.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and Mentor: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and career development to a distributed team of Workday Testing Consultants.

  • Performance Management: Oversee team performance, ensuring high standards of delivery, billable utilization, and client satisfaction.

  • Resource Allocation: Manage resource assignments and project staffing to balance client needs with team skills and development goals.

Client Advisory & Thought Leadership

  • Trusted Advisor: Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for clients, guiding them through the entire testing lifecycle (e.g., System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel Testing, Regression Testing).

  • Strategic Guidance: Develop and present sophisticated testing strategies, detailed plans, and risk-based approaches tailored to each client's unique Workday configuration.

  • Process Evangelist: Educate clients and internal teams on testing best practices, methodologies, and the "why" behind our processes.

Service Delivery & Quality

  • Configuration Focus: Ensure all testing efforts are correctly focused on validating business processes, security configurations, integrations, and reporting, not core Workday product code.

  • Quality Assurance: Hold ultimate accountability for the quality of all testing deliverables, including test scripts, test data, and defect management.

  • Methodology Development: Continuously refine and improve our testing assets, templates, and methodologies to drive efficiency and quality.

Practice Development

  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to scope new testing engagements, define project estimations, and contribute to proposals.

  • Industry Expertise: Stay current with all Workday updates and industry trends, translating them into actionable insights and service improvements.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • ERP Testing Expertise: Significant experience in the ERP testing domain, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex testing projects.

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience in a management or leadership role, successfully managing a team of consultants or analysts.

  • Configuration vs. Code: Be able to demonstrate a critical understanding of the difference between testing tenant configuration and testing core product functionality.

Other Qualifications

  • Workday Knowledge: Direct, hands-on experience with Workday (HCM, Financials, or both) is strongly preferred. Candidates with deep experience in other large-scale ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle) will be considered if they demonstrate a strong grasp of configuration-based testing.

  • Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. You must be comfortable advising senior-level clients and navigating complex discussions.

  • Location: Must be based and have the right to work in the UKI, DACH, or Nordics regions.

  • Languages: Business-fluent English is required, other languages(German, French or Dutch) are desired.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!

At Workday, we value our candidates’ privacy and data security.  Workday will never ask candidates to apply to jobs through websites that are not Workday Careers.

Please be aware of sites that may ask for you to input your data in connection with a job posting that appears to be from Workday but is not.

In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.
