As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Role overview:

Our team, PlayStation Studios' International Production & Localisation (IPL), is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our global Production and Localisation QA teams and drive excellence and innovation in the services we offer!

We partner with PlayStation Studios and external development teams, providing best-in-class localisation, production and LQA solutions that enable them to deliver outstanding games to a global audience!

Reporting into the Senior Director, International Production & Localisation, you will play an integral part in finding opportunities to drive innovation, increase operational efficiency, and further develop our core expertise in all aspects of localisation production, localisation QA, and international publishing. You will lead two critical functions - Production and LQA – driving seamless collaboration and shared excellence across teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead IPL’s global Production and Localisation QA teams, ensuring they deliver high-quality work on time and on budget while achieving personal and departmental growth
  • Build strong partnerships across PlayStation Studios, working closely with game creators to ensure their goals and needs are met
  • Oversee multiple simultaneous projects, refining production processes and LQA methodologies whilst identifying dependencies, trade-offs and resolving risks
  • Define excellence for localisation production and LQA services, establishing best practices and driving innovation across both functions, particularly around emerging technologies and automation
  • Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team culture with a focus on continuous improvement, upskilling, and shared learning
  • Navigate organisational change as we evolve our services and capabilities, making strategic decisions to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Contribute to key planning processes including budgets and operating plans, managing resource allocation and analysing data to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Work across PlayStation Studios and SIE to understand needs, coordinate R&D efforts, and spearhead initiatives that strengthen our capabilities and support long-term strategic goals
  • Foster cross-functional knowledge sharing, building mechanisms that drive transparency and collaboration across teams and studios
  • Develop and promote the team's cultural pillars and departmental initiatives that reinforce what makes IPL a great team

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years' experience in games production or development roles with a successful track record delivering AAA titles
  • Strong knowledge of both localisation production and QA, with understanding of current industry trends, emerging technologies, and automation in both subject areas
  • Deep understanding of game development lifecycle, production methodologies, best practices and tools across multiple genres, platforms and business models
  • Experience integrating new teams or functions into existing organisations and leading through organisational change
  • Experience successfully leading, motivating and developing diverse, high performing teams across different cultures and time zones
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritise and manage complex operational issues across multiple projects and partners
  • Curiosity and aptitude for evaluating and adopting new technologies, with strong desire to optimise processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting as conditions change in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for games with extensive knowledge of the gaming market and good commercial acumen
  • Experience managing external development projects and/or working on live service titles advantageous

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus opportunity
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • On Site Gym
  • Subsidised Café
  • Free soft drinks
  • On site bar
  • Access to cycle garage and showers
