Position Summary:

Aura is looking for an experienced Sr Manager of Contracts to partner with the Legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements related to Aura’s business activities. Reporting to our Chief Legal Officer (CLO), the successful candidate will work with business, clinical, CMC and other partners to draft agreements and negotiate terms with external parties (e.g., consultants, vendors, CROs, clinical sites and others), coordinate the final execution of agreements, and maintain the contract and compliance system. The successful candidate will work closely with external parties, across the Aura team, including corporate compliance, procurement, Legal and the finance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and negotiate CDAs, MSAs, Consulting Agreements, CTAs and other agreements.
  • Engage with Legal and support companywide contract review, negotiation, tracking and renewals, ensuring alignment with the procurement process.
  • Support contract execution and ensure proper signature authority.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all executed agreements, including management of contract expirations by engaging stakeholders and preparing renewals when needed.
  • Support Legal in assisting internal stakeholders with management of vendor relationships, compliance with contract terms and with the assessment of vendor performance.
  • Work with CLO on projects as assigned.
  • Seek support with external counsel as needed in connection with ongoing activities companywide.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 plus years’ experience with the biotech/pharmaceutical industry required.
  • Clinical contract management experience required.
  • The ability to work well independently and with others in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Effective cross-disciplinary communication skills and an eagerness to creatively engage the Aura legal team, scientists, and business leaders to fully understand complex issues and craft innovative solutions.
  • The intellectual curiosity and drive to offer comprehensive solutions to the teams you work with.
  • The demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with external groups towards a goal where timelines are met.
  • A proven track record of building relationships with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Significant experience with contract administration and management processes, procedures, and software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications (MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint).

Salary & Benefit Information:

Salary Range: $150,000/yr - $185,000/yr

(Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to: geographic location, degree, years of experience, and internal company equity)
