OVERVIEW

The Specialist, Creator Marketing is a proactive, collaborative, highly organized, and results-driven individual with agency experience who will execute world-class creator marketing programs for Salt and its clients. A digital native with a passion for social media marketing, user-generated content, trend analysis, and influencer culture, this person will be a vital part of a high-performance team. They will mentor account coordinators, collaborate with content creators to tell brand stories, drive awareness, and foster conversion through innovative tactics and tools. This role is ideal for a motivated, solutions-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at problem-solving.

As the main point of contact between clients and Salt’s content creators, the Specialist, Creator Marketing will develop deep expertise in Salt’s processes and technology. From creator selection, onboarding, campaign management, tracking, amplification, reporting, and mentoring, this role is crucial in ensuring that client creator programs are successful and fully optimized.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days in-office at Salt's Toronto Head Office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESCreator Management

  • Lead the management of scaled and curated creator programs.
  • Source and vet creators, ensuring they are the right fit for each campaign.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with content creators.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage payments and invoicing for creators.
  • Review creator assets and provide detailed feedback to ensure alignment with client needs, campaign briefs, and established KPIs.
  • Organize creator assets for internal and client approval and manage media trafficking with Salt's media team or external partners.
  • Collaborate with coordinators to draft and communicate campaign briefs to creators.
  • Lead onboarding calls to align creators with campaign briefs and expectations.
  • Ensure creator accounts are set up for amplification and oversee campaign execution.
  • Mentor junior team members, developing their skills in creator marketing.

Research & Reporting

  • Support the development of creator strategies through research, creator search, and trend analysis.
  • Monitor campaign performance and contribute to mid- and final-stage reporting.
  • Provide recommendations on content performance, amplification, and usage across marketing channels.
  • Execute and continuously improve influencer gifting campaigns.
  • Ensure Salt delivers top-tier insights and recommendations across industries through trend research.

Business Operations

  • Analyze campaign data to uncover trends in creator activations.
  • Stay updated on influencer, social media, and affiliate marketing trends.
  • Stay compliant with relevant laws and best practices regarding influencer marketing and disclosures.
  • Manage various administrative tasks, such as maintaining content libraries, influencer contracts, and tracking campaign performance.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 2-3 years of experience working in influencer marketing at an agency, media vendor, or talent firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
  • Retail and CPG experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with influencer discovery and management tools is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Facebook Business Manager, TikTok for Advertisers, Snap, and similar tools is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Google Certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM, SEO, SEM, programmatic, social, mobile, and video marketing is a bonus.
