Shape smarter pricing. Unlock customer value. Drive commercial impact.
Why this role matters
We’re looking for a curious, analytical problem‑solver to join our Existing Customer Profitability team — someone who loves digging into data, spotting opportunities, and turning insight into action.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, experimenting with new ideas, and influencing how products evolve, this role gives you the space to make a real impact.
How you’ll contribute
As a Specialist, you’ll help shape how we price, optimise, and grow our loans products. Your work will directly influence customer outcomes and commercial performance.
You will:
Design and deliver pricing strategies that improve outcomes for customers and NewDay — including building a testing framework to learn fast and iterate confidently.
Identify untapped value across customer segments and journeys, spotting where performance can be improved and proposing changes that make a measurable difference.
Drive end-to-end project delivery, gathering data and engaging cross-functional stakeholders to develop actionable insights and support implementation
Review and evolve eligibility criteria, ensuring we’re offering the right products to the right customers at the right time.
Use data analysis and modelling (including NPV modelling) to optimise our loan offering across different risk profiles and customer segments.
You’ll also play a key role in governance, ensuring our strategies are robust and well‑controlled, and you’ll help mentor junior team members, raising analytical capability across the function.
What you’ll bring
Essential
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills — you enjoy tackling complex problems and finding clarity in the data.
A flair for numbers and the ability to learn quickly, or experience in financial services.
A growth mindset — you’re energised by trying new things and stepping outside your comfort zone.
Technical proficiency in SQL, Python or VBA.
Desirable
Experience presenting proposals or analysis to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
Natural analytical curiosity — you care about understanding impact, not just delivering change.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build rapport across teams and partners.
Excellent organisational skills to help coordinate and deliver multi‑team initiatives.
