Solutions Manager - WMS

Job Summary

The aim of this role is to lead Solution Delivery capability across selected solution areas within EMEA as part of Global Delivery Execution.

This is a highly capable team of industry, solution and technical experts working remotely across the region. This role includes a high level of people management.

Key Tasks

  • Lead and manage the EMEA team of Solution Architects and Business Consultants within specified Blue Yonder Solution areas.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
  • Develop and foster long term relationships as trusted advisor to customers with customer senior Management, including C-level, with credibility and confidence.
  • Support new deal sale cycle
  • Articulate suitable business solutions and the Blue Yonder Value Proposition for prospects / customers at senior management level based on understanding of their business and IT requirements.
  • Assist Customer Executive when sales engagements become more complex and competitive and feedback to Consulting Services teams to support strategic resource planning.
  • Identify business plan and strategy, key decision makers, key performance indicators, and budget constraints to support driving the transaction to closure for business opportunities.
  • Identify and utilise appropriate internal resources to engage in sales cycles to support the business case.
  • Assist with Scoping Study engagements as first step of major project implementations.
  • Communicate issues and strategies concerning the client and assist in handover meeting between Sales and Consulting Services teams.

Sustain Delivery excellence:

  • Impact the margin on the services contract/SOW by ensuring successful & comprehensive implementations which will result in referenceable clients & future software & service sales.
  • Mentor colleagues to develop their skills as industry thought leaders.
  • The go-to person for sales, management, delivery & support for the understanding of the business processes for the area & solutions of expertise.
  • Work with Blue Yonder teams to put projects back on track if required.

Support global initiatives and processes:

  • Liaise with other regional Delivery groups based in Americas and Asia Pacific and Centre of Excellence Delivery groups based in India and Poland.
  • Manage team assignments and staffing decisions with global Resource Controller team.
  • Location: This role can be based within EMEA or Poland.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Essential:

  • Excellent in people management
  • Sound people management experience, ideally within a matrixed, international environment
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues to resolution.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding inter-personal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the company and globally.
  • Extensive experience implementing enterprise class solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or solution process concepts to the business.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written

Desirable:

  • Expert level of knowledge on Warehouse Management (WMS) Supply Chain Solutions/processes, ideally covering multiple business areas.
  • Solid project management abilities (certification highly preferred)
  • Experience translating user business requirements into high level Specifications.
  • Previous experience of working with retail/manufacturing and 3PL customer base
  • Demonstrable experience implementing Blue Yonder or similar solutions, with an emphasis on implementation of multiple Blue Yonder applications in an integrated environment
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
