At Dscout, we’re building the most flexible and powerful UX research platform on the market—trusted by the world’s top brands in finance (JP Morgan Chase, Intuit, Charles Schwab, PayPal), healthcare (Aya, Headspace), consumer goods (Keen, Verizon, Target, Northface), and tech (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Meta, Spotify, AirBnB). Our tools help teams deeply understand the humans behind their products, so they can build better ones. We are expanding our smart and driven team and would love for you to join us.

We’re looking for a Solutions Consultant to join the Dscout Presales Team. In this role, you will partner closely with EMEA sales reps to guide prospective customers through their evaluation of Dscout’s research platform. You will act as both a product expert and a strategic advisor - uncovering pain points, shaping use cases, and demonstrating how Dscout’s solutions deliver real value. This role blends presales excellence, research credibility, and product storytelling, making it ideal for someone energised by problem‑solving, discovery, and influencing customer decisions. This role would report directly to the General Manager of EMEA and have a dotted line to the Senior Director of Solutions Consulting.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with EMEA sales reps across new business and some existing business to understand customer goals across research, design, and broader business contexts.
  • Support discovery conversations to identify pain points and unpack complex research workflows.
  • Translate customer challenges into clear, high‑impact use cases.
  • Deliver compelling, customised demos tailored to each customer’s workflow, challenges, and goals.
  • Own the “tech win” by driving alignment across the customer’s buying committee.
  • Serve as the product expert-explaining capabilities, value, limitations, and best‑practice approaches.
  • Scope, plan, and execute customer evaluations or trials, including research design, recruiting, fielding, and analysis support.
  • Partner with prospects to create a clear roadmap for onboarding, adoption, and long‑term success.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop presales collateral, case studies, and thought‑leadership materials.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product, Research, and Customer Success based on customer insights.
  • Participate in conferences, customer on-sites, and company events (approx. 10% travel).
  • Contribute to Dscout’s culture of feedback, continuous improvement, and research excellence.

What You Should Have

  •  3+ years in a customer-facing SaaS role such as Solutions Consulting, Solutions Engineering, Research Consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative research methodologies with hands-on experience planning and executing research.
  • Ability to communicate complex research workflows and translate them into compelling product stories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills-able to be consultative, clear, and persuasive with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, structuring messy problems, and crafting strategic recommendations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with UX research, insights, or usability testing platforms (dscout, UserTesting, Maze, etc.).
  • Exposure to product management or prototyping tools such as Figma or Miro.
  • Leadership experience including mentoring, onboarding, or serving as a team lead.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Achieving quarterly tech-win and presales influence targets.
  • Delivering high-quality demos, POCs, and discovery engagements that accelerate pipeline momentum and customer clarity.
  • Strong feedback scores and ratings from Account Directors.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through internal enablement or external research-community engagement.
  • Providing meaningful insights to the Product and Marketing teams that inform roadmap and positioning.

Note: Some of the benefits listed below apply only to U.S.-based employees. We offer a similarly competitive benefits program in the UK with many comparable offerings, which we’ll be happy to share with you during the interview process.

Of course, what is outlined above is an ideal set of expectations; however, business needs and other projects and tasks may shift, and additional tasks could be assigned at the discretion of your manager.
