About the role
The Solutions Architect will play a key role in Trinity's transformation programmes, working across a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives spanning CRM, ERP, digital platforms, data, integration and business process improvement. The role sits at the heart of business and technology change, helping to shape solutions that support organisational goals while ensuring alignment with Trinity's technology strategy and enterprise architecture principles.
This is not a purely technical or documentation-focused position. We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, challenge assumptions constructively, and bring clarity where requirements are incomplete or evolving. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical audiences, and guiding stakeholders towards pragmatic, effective outcomes.
Working closely with architects, project managers, product managers, business stakeholders, suppliers and delivery teams, you will translate business objectives into coherent, scalable and sustainable solution designs. You will provide architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to strategic objectives and capable of delivering long-term value.
Key areas of responsibility include Solutions Architecture and Design, Transformation and Modernisation, CRM and ERP Platforms, Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Shaping, Technical Leadership, and Governance and Assurance.
About you
You are an experienced Solutions Architect, Technical Architect or similar senior technology professional with a track record of delivering architecture services within complex organisations. You have experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes and a strong understanding of enterprise business processes, operating models and the challenges associated with change.
You will bring expertise across CRM platforms, ERP systems and SaaS-based business applications, alongside a strong understanding of system integration, APIs, cloud services and data architecture principles. You are able to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery considerations, producing architectural designs and documentation that are proportionate, clear and focused on outcomes.
An excellent communicator, you are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and are skilled at influencing, negotiating and challenging constructively. You are comfortable facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical audiences and have the analytical and problem-solving skills needed to navigate complex requirements and competing priorities.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure is important, and you will be motivated by the opportunity to help shape Trinity's technology landscape and contribute to meaningful organisational change.
Experience within education, assessment, awarding organisations or other regulated environments would be beneficial, as would familiarity with enterprise integration platforms, API-led architecture, business capability modelling, information security, GDPR, governance frameworks, vendor selection and supplier management. However, these are desirable rather than essential, and we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate strong transferable experience.
