IQVIA Direct Medical Engagement team focuses on supporting our life sciences’ clients with the omnichannel dissemination of medical, safety and promotional materials to healthcare professionals, patients and other key stakeholders. The IQVIA DME team is a close-knit group of sales and delivery specialists, working collaboratively with a wide global sales and delivery network.
The successful applicant will be responsible for selling our DME offering across the four pillars of our group:
- Safety and Risk
- Promotional
- Medical
- Data Privacy and consent
The main purpose of the role is to develops new business, providing product expertise and sales acumen to identify and qualify revenue opportunities, proactively manage the selling process, and close the sale in both existing and new accounts.
Role & Responsibilities
• Achieves growth & revenue targets for IQVIA DME offering, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in the client’s organisation (Brand, Medical, Pharmacovigilance…)
• Through proactive contact with existing and potential clients, generate new and incremental revenue from DME and regularly interface with customers at all levels to ensure solutions become entrenched within their businesses.
• Proactively strengthens in depth knowledge of product and its application within a client’s organisation.
• Develop capabilities presentations, case studies, general and targeted client promotional materials for assigned solutions.
• Actively raise awareness of assigned solutions within IQVIA to ensure that leads are generated from across the organisation and passed on.
• Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers, other Sales Specialists and colleagues across the organisation to identify and target opportunities.
• Create and present creative client proposals that result in conversion of sales leads.
• Create detailed project specifications, brief delivery teams, monitor project delivery, implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to account planning strategy as it relates to assigned solutions.
• Seek ‘starburst’ opportunities within existing customers to grow revenue across the IQVIA portfolio.
• As part of the sales process, gather market and client intelligence and provide strategic feedback to consulting, client service and sales teams to strengthen IQVIA’s product offerings and capture additional business.
• Contribute to regular forecasting, budgeting and business planning processes.
• Collaborate with relevant areas of the broader IQVIA business (e.g. Med Comms, Biotech, Safety…) to identify and win opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Minimum four (4) years relevant sales or account management experience
• An effective and motivated salesperson with successful experience identifying and closing new business opportunities.
• Possesses knowledge of key marketplace issues for the pharmaceutical industry and related businesses.
• Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical local affiliates structures and responsibilities, to be able to assist with tactical implementation of a wide range of communication campaign.
• Individual must be a successful salesperson, have excellent presentation and writing skills, act with a sense of urgency, and be able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Must have successful experience identifying and closing new business opportunities and developing positive relationships at all levels of client management and within the IQVIA sales, consulting and marketing teams.
• Existing experience, or ability to quickly assimilate in depth knowledge, in IQVIA specialist areas.
• Ideally, understand our clients’ local safety and pharmacovigilance requirements.
