The Role

We are seeking a German-speaking Solutions Consultant with 2–5 years of experience to support our technical sales efforts across the EMEA region. In this role, you will drive business value for prospects and existing customers by demonstrating how ThoughtSpot’s products and services help achieve strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success working with technical solutions for enterprise customers, preferably in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or Analytics. You will have a strong understanding of how technology solves business challenges, a consultative approach , and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Understand customers’ analytic goals and challenges through effective discovery

  • Present and articulate the business value of the ThoughtSpot platform to stakeholders at all levels

  • Demonstrate ThoughtSpot’s products in ways that clearly differentiate us from competitors

  • Conduct product evaluations with customers, helping them analyse their own data

  • Share knowledge and best practices across the team to drive collective success

  • Manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously

  • Take initiative, be self-motivated, and adapt to changing priorities

  • Partner with Sales to plan and execute account strategy

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customer champions and ThoughtSpot Account Executives, ensuring alignment with both customer and company success

What You Bring:

  • Proven success in a customer-facing or stakeholder supporting role

  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL; familiarity with JavaScript or Python preferred

  • Understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices

  • Hands-on experience with database technologies such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Synapse, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar

  • Experience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent

  • Ability to identify customer needs and recommend timely solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills for both technical and business audiences

  • Broad understanding of cloud computing benefits

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment

  • Ambitious, curious, and self-motivated, with strong sales and technical acumen

  • Highly coachable with a desire to continuously improve

  • Strong initiative, positive attitude, and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to travel as required

Spotters are expected to demonstrate AI literacy and workflow integration to include to ability to:

  • Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.

  • Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.

  • Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.

  • Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.

Spotters are expected to exemplify these key traits and AI Mindset:

  • Curiosity in exploring new AI tools

  • Adaptability to quickly learn and implement new, emerging AI technologies

  • Critical thinking to know when to identify when AI should be used versus when human judgement is necessary

Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpot

This office-assigned role is available as a hybrid position, reporting to the office in UK - London.

Spotters assigned to an office are encouraged to experience the energy of their local office with an in-office expectation of 2-3 days per week. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and peer learning with the flexibility needed by individuals and teams.
