Pernod Ricard is starting a new journey and now is time for Tech convergence, completeness, consistency and discipline, to get more from any coin invested. We are seeking talented and experienced Solution Architects to join our dynamic team. Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end solutions (encompassing application layer, data layer and infrastructure layer) that address our businesses and functions’ needs.

You will be a part of the Global Enterprise Architecture team and work closely with Tech Operations domain representatives, product owners, developers, data architects, infrastructure specialists and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.

You will be a part of the Global Enterprise Architecture team and work closely with domain representatives, product owners, developers, data architects, infrastructure specialists and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. Your scope will cover more specifically business domains related to operations: Supply Chain and Manufacturing & Production.

Your unique contribution

The Solution Architect oversees solution architecture definition, securing alignment with global frameworks at Pernod Ricard & consistency of models across technical landscape. The role involves guaranteeing that overall development efforts are integrated appropriately, from testing to effective roll-out.

Defining target Solution Architecture and Contribute to Solution Design, Development and Rollout: Understand business objectives, technical requirements, and constraints. Develop comprehensive solution designs that leverage existing technologies and align with industry best practices. Define solution conceptual & detailed architecture, securing alignment with global architecture standards, build & maintain associated models & documentation. Assess evolving product roadmap impacts on solution architecture & continuously optimize target vision. Define guidelines for engineering/development & integration/deployment teams working on the solution, in relation to tech/data architects, and provide support as needed. Contribute to the evaluation/selection process for application packages, where relevant.

Engaging in change management & continuous improvement initiatives: Contribute to transversal initiatives to secure continuous improvement of architecture practices at Pernod Ricard. Champion global architecture vision within product squads, for your scope. Continuously develop your own skills on solution architecture topics.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with development teams to ensure that architectural standards and best practices are followed.

Architecture Development: Design and document solution architectures, including system components, interfaces, data flows, and integration points. Ensure that architectures are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks. Make recommendations for technology adoption based on industry trends, client requirements, and project goals.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to solution architecture. Develop mitigation strategies to address risks and ensure project success.

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, you’ll work with the Global Manufacturing, Operations and Production Product Teams, (contribute to solution design activities and change arbitration; define guidelines for engineering/development & integration/deployment teams), Enterprise Architect (Coordinate as needed to secure the consistency of architecture decisions within PR), Data Architect (collect guidelines to secure consistency of architecture decisions), Integration Team, Security Team, Infrastructure, Other Solution Architects (Solution Architects - WMS/TMS , Solution Architect (Planning & Supply Chain), Squad Members for Delivery of Products.

Externally, your contacts will be Technology Providers offering end-to-end solutions for Manufacturing or Supply Chain, Peers in the CPG Industry and Service Providers

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you have:

  • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect in the Manufacturing/Operations/Production function or similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Enterprise and Tech Architecture Certifications are considered an asset.
  • Azure Solution Architect Certification is considered an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level software development methodologies, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Good knowledge of Operations/Production/Manufacturing business.
  • Understanding of OT systems and their integrations
  • Good understanding of ERP systems (and their role in the Operations domain of the business).
  • Knowledge around PLM, MES, LIMS and CMMS Solutions is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of TCO (All budget costs) and the impact of different solution / technical architecture scenarios.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cartography of each business coverage and needs by Site, Multisite - multi-instance deployments.
  • Strong expertise in solution design, including experience with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and API design
  • Knowledge in architectural frameworks, design patterns, and integration technologies relevant to the consumer domain.
  • Cloud Native Development and Serverless Computing (Web apps, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Application Gateway).
  • Data Management.
  • ITSM Processes.

Functional Skills:

  • Deep understanding of architecture processes, concepts & practices
  • Proven architecture/solution modelling skills
  • Sound understanding of business principles and concepts for the domain (incl. technical landscape)
  • Design & development background (application design, software engineering, system integration...)
  • Communication & negotiation skills
  • Understanding of agile methodologies & ways of working is a plus.
