Are you an experienced Solutions Architect with a passion for designing and delivering technology solutions?

Would you like to work on defining Asda’s technology landscape in a mature and

evolving architecture practice?

Asda are looking for a Solution Architect in the Corporate Services domain to lead change in our new technology landscape. If you have architectural experience across this area, especially with experience in the People/HR space, then please do not hesitate to apply.

Please be advised that this position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time hours, flexible working arrangements, or job share opportunities.

What You’ll Love

This role would ideally suit a passionate and experienced Architect to join a mature practice, working with a team of 50+ in a supportive environment, with great opportunities for self-development and training.  Experience in Retail or at least operating in an enterprise-scale environment is desirable.

Having recently separated from Walmart undertaking an exercise to refine our new IT operating environment; this is an opportunity to participate in shaping the way the business will operate in the future through technology decisions, and the design of solutions in current technologies.

You will build relationships with key stakeholders and grow to understand the application landscape in the Corporate Services domain, with a specialisation in People solutions; experience in Workday is a significant benefit.

What You’ll Need

  • You will collaborate well with other technical roles and be familiar with working at enterprise scale defining innovative and fit for purpose solutions.
  • You will have experience in solution design, in application, technology, data or integration architecture domains, and a real passion for current trends including mobile and cloud technologies.
  • Awareness of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF but is desirable and not essential. We use the EA tool Ardoq and model in ArchiMate, so it would help to understand these, but training will be provided.
  • You will have a passion for delivering innovative and fit-for-purpose technology solutions, meeting our business needs.
  • Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind.  Risk identification and mitigation, quantification and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.
  • Excellent written skills and the ability to clearly distil complex architectures into consumable documents and views.
