Job Description

Software Test Lead - Supply Chain Programme - Permanent Opportunity - Leeds / Hybrid - Must be immediately available - Salary up to £62K

Resillion is seeking an experienced, hands-on Test Lead to join a major Supply Chain transformation programme. This is a key delivery role requiring a proactive individual who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves across test management, defect management, and hands-on testing, while also providing leadership, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with distributed teams.

The Test Lead will report into the Senior Test Manager and will be responsible for managing and mentoring two offshore testing resources, ensuring testing activities are well planned, executed, and aligned to programme objectives. The role demands strong communication skills, technical understanding, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive defect management, including triage, prioritisation, root cause analysis, and tracking defects through to resolution in close collaboration with development and technical teams

  • Perform hands-on testing across web-based and cloud-hosted systems, including functional, integration, and regression testing

  • Support and contribute to end-to-end test management, ensuring quality across complex supply chain processes and integrated systems

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute integration testing activities across multiple applications and data sources

  • Ensure testing coverage and quality for high-volume data flows, validating data accuracy, performance, and reliability

  • Work closely with stakeholders across operations, product, technology, and third-party suppliers to align testing activities with business priorities and delivery milestones

  • Manage day-to-day testing activities for offshore resources, including task allocation, progress tracking, and quality assurance of test outputs

  • Review and maintain test artefacts such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports

  • Provide regular status updates, risks, and issue reporting to the Senior Test Manager and programme stakeholders

  • Identify testing risks early and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies to maintain delivery timelines

  • Promote best practices in testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across the programme

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Test Lead role within large, complex programmes

  • Strong background in hands-on testing of web and cloud-based applications

  • Experience testing supply chain, logistics, ERP, or data-intensive systems is highly desirable

  • Solid understanding of test management and defect management processes

  • Experience working with offshore or distributed testing teams

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Familiarity with modern test tools and defect tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Test Management tools)

  • Ability to balance detail-oriented execution with high-level oversight
