Job Description

This role is onsite out of our Uxbridge offices 5 days a week.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled System Technologist to join our EMEA Training Team based in Uxbridge, UK. In this fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Training delivery, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting: 

Provide expert technical support for a wide range of issues within the OneLE Eco-System, including front-end GUI problems, server-side application issues, database, networking, desktop, simulator, tools, and system failures.

Provide lab support for Training deliveries working with the Technical Instructors.

OneLE Lab Environment: 

Supports the operation, installation, deployment, maintenance and service of Motorola Solutions Products within the OneLE Eco-System

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: 

Develop, maintain, and review technical, product support, and workflow documentation, ensuring clear and concise communication of information.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Implement best testing practices to ensure the integrity of systems and solutions, documenting all artifacts for future reference.

Asset Management:

Assist with asset management, including shipping, ordering and associated logistics.

Training Centre Support

When required, assist with the day to day support of Training Centre activities.


Basic Requirements

What you will to succeed

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth installation, configuration, and troubleshooting experience with Windows Servers and clients operating systems.

  • Strong understanding of VMware software and its applications.

  • Knowledge of Windows Domain architecture, integration, and Active Directory.

  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting various server/desktop hardware issues.

  • Experience with LAN/WAN troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with Motorola's LMR (mainly CapMax and DIMETRA) and VS&A Product Portfolio 

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace apps.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (fluent in English).

  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations and troubleshoot critical issues while maintaining professional communication with customers and Motorola management team.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience in supporting an educational training environment.

    • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Juniper).

    • Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    EXPECTATIONS

    This position requires onsite support, the expectation is the individual will be based in the Uxbridge Training Centre.

    Overseas Travel - 10%
